I booked through Discover Cars, and thought to be a trustworthy company - but clearly I haven’t researched it properly. When I got to Miami I realized I booked with a company called Rental 24 (it’s the same as this one but they don’t put it on google I wonder why) and I couldn’t find it on Google which was an indication of what was coming.When we pickup the car they wanted to charge way more than expected for the vehicle - without making it clear why - then I had to ask for the breakdown to remove the extra services. Fine we got through this one.Now during our visit in Miami we got towed (which was a nightmare but not part of the story) then we contacted the rental company to understand what we should do in this case. They’ve said: If you need someone from our company to sign the car off that costs extra $80. Super fair.I went to the towing company explained I had all in our names and they said no need for the owner to come but a simple letter. I asked them, they wrote a simple word doc letter and send it to me on WhatsApp. Great. Until I went to drop off the car.When we arrived to drop the car, a guy (which I’m assuming was a third party) also arrived to “help” with the checkout. It turns out he was there to charge us an extra $200 dollars for the issuing of a “stamped” letter to let us pickup the car with the towing company. At first we argued about how can the letter be more expensive than asking for one of you to sign the car off? It didn’t make any sense. And NO ONE told us we would have to pay extra for a word doc containing 5 sentences.Then after threatening us to take us to the federal police in the airport - I then asked, wait was that letter stamped? There’s literally nothing on it. I showed him the letter and he said that was not the stamped letter, it was another one they’ve sent directly to the towing company. That’s when I knew - there was NO STAMPED LETTER. I asked to see the letter since I’ll have to pay for it. After him calling “his team” I was right. No stamped letter was issued for the case.I cannot stress enough how dingy and shady was this experience. Unfortunately the city is full of people trying to get more and more money from you. I would stay away from all the brands that this company holds, like I’ve said I booked with Rental 24 but they have loads of logos in their van and reception. I’m so dedicated in letting everyone know about these opportunists that I’ll be reporting them to all the third companies they get deals from.

The amounts on the bill from my credit card are twice as high as on the order and voucher confirming the purchase. I honestly do not recommend this rental company. I use many rental companies around the world and never have I been cheated like this.

Couldn’t find signal for a call to notify the company and arrived late. They cancelled our booking and when asking to rebook, wanted to charge an extra $3000 dollars for the week booking. Con artists are at this company.
