The car became a drive at your own risk. We had someone look at the car after issues started occurring and he would not even work on it because he said the shop made it so that the check engine light wouldn't come on but cylinder 3 is misfiring. He said something else was going on but it's within the motor. When we got the car the actuator was unplugged so they plugged it in, and it made a ticking noise. They said that they were going to replace it. When everything started messing up, I called and let them know what was going on and asked if they could look at it. I missed two appointments, my fault, I understood when the front desk store manager set me out a couple weeks. We waited them couple of weeks. I called on Saturday to make a payment which I have made faithfully despite not being able to drive it. When I called to make the payment, I stated that we would be bringing it on Sunday until the appointment. I stated that we were bringing it because we couldn't drive it. She said that I never told her that. I stated that I had called and told her when it died when we started it and that something was up with the brakes when you go to stop it. She said that I never told her that and I told her that I called her and told her that. I stated that I did and she is not going to call me a liar when I know that I told her. She gets mad and says that she's not going to go back and forth with me. When I addressed the check engine light not being on she said then there must not be anything wrong with it. I said when it was hooked up to the computer it said there is a misfire on cylinder 3 and something was done so that the light wouldn't come on. She said that must be a light that won't go off. She calls back today stating that I missed 5 appointments now and she's not fixing the actuator, which, by the way, is the least of the issues by now. I stated that she did not reschedule the appointment for Monday, I simply was going to drop it off to make sure that it was there. I did not ask for an earlier appointment. She said ITS ON THE BOARD THATS WHY I KNOW IT WAS SCHEDULED. Maybe if she weren't so rude and disrespectful, she would have actually confirmed the change of appointment with me. I said I needed to speak to the manager. she said she is the store manager. I said that I needed to speak to her boss. She stated that she is going to tell me the same thing. I stated that is fine. I could care less about the car right now. I want to talk to her about your attitude because you are rude. She said listen to how you are speaking. I said that is because of how I'm being spoken to. I asked again to have her boss to call me so that I could speak to her boss about her attitude. She said fine but she won't be in until tomorrow or Thursday. I said that is fine thank you.Moral of the story. Record conversations from them because this woman says whatever she wants without care or concern. She is rude and has the worst RBF. So if you are not approved you are just stuck with the hard pull for 2 years on your credit report and that may make it hard for you to get approved for things in the future or take your score down some points. It would be nice if they let their customers know this before they run the credit and that gives the customers a chance to decide if they would like to proceed with the credit report or not.
Jul 31, 2024 · Anonymous TThey gave us a too-good-be-true price, and we thought it was because of minor body damage. Took a while to realize it doesn't have a check engine light. Hard to burn out an LED bulb! I have no way of knowing what issues they did or didn't know about but makes you think. I understand you get what you pay for and it's a cheap beater car. But I would question their integrity and the quality of the higher priced cars based on this experience. Like where did they even get this car from?!? It clearly had some sort of life changing experience between when it was a rental car and when it was sold to the lot. The car still runs a year and 3 months later, so I'm not mad. But you have to either really know what you're looking for mechanically or get really lucky and have a bunch of major-looking issues turn out to be minor ones. Just be careful is all.
