Rented a car in a Norfolk. I walked to the lot inspected it. Discovered I didn't need it after all. Went back into the desk and attempted to cancel the reservation. NEVER EVEN STARTED THE VEHICLE! They refused to accept the return. They refused a compromise of charging me for one full day rental. The only way to communicate was via email. They stopped responding to my polite emails seeking a compromise resolution. I was forced to take the vehicle or take a bath on a 5 day rental charge.

I got the loaner with a leaky front left tire (the sensor went off a couple hours after I left), by Friday it was raining and the tires would spin when I was trying to take off from a complete stop, under the back seat there were crushed potato chips. I drove this thing and out 41.1 miles on it.BEWARE of this scam company. I was charged an additional $36.32 on my credit card for GAS. I pointed out all the issues. Called and spoke to someone named Chris and he said I would hear back in 72 hours. He's never responded and I have disputed the charge. I gave them every opportunity to make it right. Even the people at the dealership that work there had nothing nice to say about them.If you have to rent from them pay real close attention to your credit card.

He then asked if he could hold my phone and went into my phone WITHOUT my knowledge and consent and opened my internet browser, searched Gollling and made a FAKE REVIEW as if I made it. I found out through my email, Google emailed me thanking me for my review, which I did NOT write! He also left all of the evidence up, he did not erase the internet browser history and left the pages up that he opened! I was on my AirPod during this time and my sister witnessed and heard him ask for my phone and using my phone. My privacy was violated and Golling, American Rent A Car and their managers have done nothing to help!!! One of the managers I spoke to at Golling was no help and barely remorseful, other than saying they’d “talk to him about this and tell him not to touch someone’s phone”, nothing was done! They only delegated the blame back to American Car Rental, but these are the people they allow to use their space and send their customers to for rentals?? Now I am questioning Golling’s and American Rent A Car’s integrity, their good reviews and the people they hire and the companies they hire to help their customers and will be taking my car elsewhere to get serviced because this is unacceptable!! So beware!!! Yousef is deceitful and could be doing this to other customers and I’m sure has done this to other customers! I will not stop until I receive resolution, this will be escalated even if I have to take it to my lawyer and file a police report!
