Apple Country Public Transit’s main office is located at 526 7th Ave E, Hendersonville, NC 28792, USA. This central location in Hendersonville places it conveniently for many residents. While this address is their administrative hub, the transit service itself operates via a network of bus stops strategically placed throughout the City of Hendersonville, the Town of Fletcher, and Laurel Park.
The routes originate from the Transfer Site, which is a key hub situated at the corner of 4th and Grove Street in downtown Hendersonville, right next to the 1995 Henderson County Courthouse. This central transfer point ensures that passengers can easily connect between the different routes, making inter-neighborhood travel seamless. The transit system is designed with accessibility in mind, serving a broad spectrum of the community. All Apple Country Public Transit buses are equipped with wheelchair lifts and other features to accommodate passengers with disabilities, ensuring that mobility is not a barrier for those who rely on these services. Furthermore, bicycles are allowed on buses (often with equipped racks), promoting multimodal transportation for North Carolinians who combine cycling with public transit. This commitment to accessibility is a major highlight for the local community, ensuring that essential services are within reach for everyone.
- Fixed-Route Bus Service: Apple Country Public Transit operates three main bus routes (Route 1 - White, Route 2 - Red, and Route 3 - Blue) that cover extensive areas within Hendersonville, Fletcher, and Laurel Park. These routes run Monday through Friday, making daily commutes and errands convenient.
- Regular Operating Hours: The bus services run from early morning to evening, typically from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. (or 6:30 p.m. for some routes, depending on recent updates), providing coverage for standard workdays and daytime activities. It's always advisable for local users to check the most current schedules and service alerts for any changes.

- Paratransit Services: For individuals with disabilities who may have difficulty using the fixed-route bus service, Apple Country Public Transit offers ADA Paratransit Services. This specialized door-to-door transportation is available within a 3/4-mile radius of the fixed routes and requires eligibility screening.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The driver of t706 at 2:00pm today needs to be reminded that texting and driver or even holding a phone while driving is illegal. They should be paying attention to their driving and not impeding the flow of traffic. Also the company needs to answer their phone or clean their mailbox.
Apr 28, 2025 · Christopher BrownWhoever was driving van number 6 on Thursday around 11:50 at Hendersonville Publix is going to hurt someone or worse. Pay attention and stay off your phone.
Dec 20, 2024 · darcy rouchI'm so grateful this company exists. But I do wish this company would run 24/7 because I work on Saturdays. I also wish for female drivers and drivers who are a different race and skin color because diversity matters. I also wish this company would expand to more cities, locations, and towns throughout Henderson County, such as Mills River, Zirconia, etc. Just my thoughts. And the drivers really do appreciate gifts from me, be it something to eat or a music CD I insert for them (I'm so lucky the buses have CD players because I'm old-school and proud of it). I remember on Valentine's Day, the driver gave me a booklet of passes because I gave them sushi from my day job.THANK YOU APPLE COUNTRY TRANSIT!
