I am only giving one star because I rented a car here twice, or at least tried to. The first time the car that I had made a reservation for was there and we took it for a preplanned trip arranged before our vacation.When I returned the first car I made a second reservation for a car for another trip that we planned to take. We had booked a hotel for the night and were keen to have a car confirmed. Once I arrived to collect the car I was told that there were no cars, that they had not had any delivered the previous day either and they were cancelling reservations. I asked if there was anything else available and was told that there was another, bigger vehicle, but the manager said that we could not take that, I did not ask for it as an upgrade, I just asked what was available. The girl behind the counter did not know why this decision had been made and to be honest seemed confused by it too. When I asked to speak to the manager I was told that the response was that they were in a meeting. I am not really surprised that they were not there to assist staff and be there when things are going wrong, it seems that they are destined for senior roles with an attitude of hiding from customer service issues. We were told that we could transfer the reservation to a nearby office if they had a car available. After a long and frustrating call with a member of staff in the call center we were eventually told that there was a car at the Aventura branch and that it would be reserved for us. Now running late and desperate to get to our hotel over 100 miles away I ordered an Uber, at my own expense, no offers to transport us were made. When I arrived I was straight away told that there were no cars for us. If you want to ruin a trip then use this company. Personally I will never use Avis/Budget again no matter what country I am in.

I went in person to return a rented Mazda that I picked up from Miami International Airport. The car I received was dirty and had no windshield wiper fluid. I put a full tank of gas, returned the car early, and windshield washer fluid only to be treated like a second class citizen by Avis.Forget about getting help from the Aventura Mall Avis as that agent did not say hello or help me. I flat our left. Once I got to Sunny Isles Beach Avis, It is very hard to get into the parking lot, let alone find it. The agent was nice but could not do anything to help me. No offer to drive me back to nearby Aventura. I took an Uber back and no consideration for my time. Avis always advertise that "They Try Harder." What a bunch of BS. They can care less about your business. Absolute joke and totally turned me off from ever doing business with Avis and Budget.

Dangerous employee working there. First it was told over the phone that if I arrive at 6:01 the place will be closed (reservation was for 6pm). When I arrived at 5:59 and said "thanks for waiting”, the guy said he is not giving me the car because "I have an attitude". When I told him he is the one that’s rude, he proceeded to be aggressive and threatening. I was actually scared to be there alone with this person (other employee left at 6pm sharp and didn’t care that there was a client waiting). I asked for the supervisor, and of course the employee says he is the supervisor. And he couldn’t care less about my reservation - he wouldn’t give me the car because he “says so”. I suspect they didn’t have any cars left - that’s the only reasonable explanation for this odd behavior. Clearly this place thinks it can get away with anything, no matter how much it hurts the Avis brand. Shameful that Avis has this location. STAY AWAY. Rent at the airport. I hope this place gets shut down.

Rented a car and returned with no issues. Easy and fast. If there is no-one on the desk there is a phone number to call and they will show up fast. Will definitely rent here agin.
