In the last six months I have spent well over 8,000 dollars with Avis for my business needs. I needed a vehicle very badly since my vehicle has been in and out of repair shop and due to my business I need a reliable vehicle. Like I said I always go to fallston but they didn't have any cars, against my better judgment I ventured out to the Essex location because they were the only ones to have vehicles available. Should have known by not having windshield washer fluid in vehicle they was going to be a problem. The car was filthy like it hadn't been cleaned and still had salt stains on it. But again I needed a car. Fast forward like a week and I'm sitting in the car not moving literally car off and back rear window just explodes and shatters. I contact Avis of course no location available and no cars available nearby. Had to drive an hour in winter weather with no back window to switch out vehicle. I literally had to be placed in three different vehicles because they were unmaintained and unsafe to drive in winter weather. Finally they found a safe vehicle for me to get into. Upon returning vehicle I encountered the most rude employee at the Essex location. So rude to the point I ended up leaving and went to enterprise to get a vehicle. I was in and out of enterprise in less than ten minutes with no issues. Now avis after years of business and many thousands spent is changing for the window even though it was clearly defective when I got the car because why would a window just exploded on its own. They also charged me for gas and tolls to return vehicle to get a new vehicle at the airport. Avoid this location at all costs I promise you will be disappointed!!!!! I have been trying to get in contact with someone about the glass but I've gotten no response. Also still fighting to get toll charges reversed as well. Would love if corporate would contact me regarding this matter!EditIt's Saturday March 29th and I have yet to hear from anyone regarding this matter!!!!Do not rent from here you will be disappointed!!!

The lady at the front desk was very nice and even waited a little after close to help me get into my rental. Would recommend this location to anyone.
