The agent said there is a computer problem - still seems extremely long, but I'd accept that. Then they gave me the car. It's 1) not washed - bugs and stuff all over the exterior; 2) there are damages on the car, including an obvious crack on the windshield (see photo). The sheet they gave me didn't indicate anything, so I had to walk back in to the office and ask them to check again and mark the sheet; 3) the fuel is only about 3/8 full, while the sheet marked the fuel is already full. Again, I had to go back to the office, and the agent just told me to fuel it to the same level when I returned the car. (the customer before me had the same issue). No problem.Then I drove the car, fueled it on my trip, and returned the car with more than half a tank - more then when I got the car. The agent at the return location (different location) didn't say anything. A week later, I found myself being charged $200 for fuel.So I called Avis. After 1.5 hours on the phone, the first phone agent didn't agree to refund me fully for the fuel change, and she said if I call again I'd get the same answer. Guess what, I called again, and the second phone agent resolved it in 5 minutes. This is not really a problem of this rental location. But if this rental location did things properly, I shouldn't need to make the call in the first place.So keep in mind - check everything. Yes it's hard when their check-in process took so long, but if you don't, they WILL overcharge you.

We came back 40 min later to the door locked and had to wait outside of the building for another 20 minutes.The staff was incredibly rude and took no responsibility for the delay.Avoid this location and just go to the airport one

I got a call when I was on the way to pick it up, and was told they would be switching me to a cargo van for the same price. I felt frustrated because I had seen online that the cargo van was cheaper than the box truck. The Budget representative failed to explain that the reason why it was the same price was because of the size of the cargo van was the same as the size of the box truck I had originally reserved. She instead insisted that if I was upset, I could cancel my reservation and make a new one.I also felt frustrated when I was presented with the insurance options. There was a flyer on their counter that clearly stated that you can mix and match insurance options for the rented vehicle. However, when I asked about only purchasing one type of insurance or the other, I was told that I can only purchase them in a bundle.I paid about $130 for what amounted to a 2 hour rental, which I felt was expensive. However, it would’ve been even more expensive if I took longer because this location closed very early in the day and you would be charged for an additional day of renting the vehicle and an additional day of insurance if you do not turn it in on time.Overall, I got what I needed, which was a large vehicle to move my belongings. However, I would not consider renting from this location again because of the rudeness of the owner.

As an Avis Preferred member, I expected better treatment, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case.I booked an SUV but was given a large van that was not clean and uncomfortable to drive. When I asked about a different vehicle, the staff informed me that none were available, so I had to accept the van to avoid ruining my vacation.To make matters worse, I later received a notice from Avis stating that I would be charged a $125 vehicle cleaning fee. I only noticed some normal shoe dirt on the mats, which seems excessive to Avis. It feels like they are trying to make money through unfair charges.Since I rented through my corporate membership, I will be sharing this feedback with my company as well. I hope others consider these issues before choosing Avis.

The original car was in such bad shape that I am surprised it was rented in the first place.I had to spend 4 hours with customer service trying to get it replaced.Even after I received a confirmation message that a replacement was ready at the airport location, when I reached there I was told they had no car and was only offered a car after waiting 2 hours.Even then was given an electric car which I had to spend an hour each day charging it.All in all this experience spoiled my vacation and wasted me precious time and caused distress. Not something you want when you are on vacation.
