Now I have to spend my time fixing a mistake caused by a team that does not communicate with each other! Their customer service is an independent company they hired as it was mentioned to me and because of that they have communication problems (front desk & customer service). I am not going to pay out of pocket for the inconvenience you have caused me!

I came in to without any notice to exchange a car I had picked up at another local location, and the staff was incredibly helpful from the start—clearly explaining where to park and where to go. We were assisted right away, and the manager, Onassis, was especially understanding and accommodating. Despite limited car availability, he still managed to find a replacement for me. I also noticed how professionally he handled other customers with different issues, making sure everyone was taken care of. This was truly some of the best customer service I’ve received. Received an e-mail later stating that the car was returned with only half the fuel level, and I got charged for the gas service as well as a horrendous price for half a tank of gas.When I returned the car, the Avis representative said all looks good, and I'm now kicking myself not having taken a picture of the mileage and gas meter at return, because the representative's statement left me under the impression that everything was alright.After reading some other reviews I come to understand that I'm not the only one who that has happened to, and others have photo proof of having returned a full tank of gas, and still getting charged.

It took 3 phone calls + 3 hours to resolve our roadside assistance problem and the communication between Avis and the tow service was absolute garbage. This resulted in our original tow request being canceled, resulting in us being stranded 2 hours away from our hotel without our wallets, phones, and other essentials that were locked in the car. There was also a problem at the front desk where the customer service rep refused to give us our replacement rental simply because we never received the confirmation text message and additional calls to customer service line did not resolve the problem as somehow they failed to send a simple text message even after repeated calls requesting it. The quality of the phone calls was subpar and the phone reps seem to struggle with comprehensionThe sign at the car check in states a lost key is $250,yet we were charged $500 as well as $100.00+ in additional taxes and fees. I will never use this service again and I will steer everyone I know away from using Avis as well as any other rental service operated by the parent company.Should also be noted that the registration for our replacement vehicle was out of date by 5 months and the dispatch gave the tow truck driver the wrong drop off address for the original vehicle, meaning our original car could not be located initially and adding to the delay in getting our replacement car.Update: charged us again somehow, even with my bank card shut off.$600+ prepay, $900 per the receipt we received, and another $600.Scammers!
