Their website not working, and it took me two days to finally get through.It turns out this major rental company, Avis, works with some obscure third-party outfit that has no functioning website, unresponsive staff, and zero willingness to assist. The customer service was utterly deplorable—nobody took responsibility, and the process was a nightmare. It took them three days to retrieve the car, even though the rental office and the impound lot were just a 10-minute drive apart. The logic is crystal clear: the longer my car sits in the impound lot, the more Avis profits because they keep charging me for every single day while the car just sits there collecting dust! On top of that, I’m certain this shady third-party company they use to retrieve cars from the impound lot is deliberately dragging their feet. Why? Because I’m stuck footing the bill for the impound fees too! This obscure, no-name company probably gets a cut from the impound lot for keeping the car there as long as possible. It’s an outrageous, predatory scheme designed to bleed customers dry, and it’s absolutely infuriating that Avis and their sketchy partner are complicit in this scam!The lack of communication, accountability, and basic competence is staggering.
