The taller lady with full lips immediately asked me for my ID and credit card before asking me for my reservation number and proceeded to tell me my VALID CAPITAL ONE CREDIT CARD can not be accepted because the BANK of the card is in a different location from the COMPANY. After I voiced my opinion, she walked away, and the heavier set lady with long curly hair told me to wait a couple minutes for a "GENERAL MANAGER" to see if they'll approve the card. As to which obviously they did not approve it. They BOTH were speaking in Spanish to each other about my card as if I wouldn't understand them. Just because someone is darker skinned doesn't mean they don't understand other languages. I will never go to this avis again, and I WILL BE REPORTING THAT LOCATION TO THE HEADQUARTERS. If they didn't want to do business with a BLACK WOMAN just say you don't have any cars left. Telling me my card is fraud and I know I work hard for my money is a downright insult to my character!!!

I also recommend you to double check who is leaving 5* review here because I see that most 5* reviewers are people left only one review in total (especially in the last 1 week!). Coincidence or not??!——UPDATE: We came now at the airport, where they sent us, and they said that there is NO CAR available and they don’t know why the other worker sent us there. They asked us to go back to this location, which we did, and found it closed once we again arrived!!!!——We came here to take the SUV we rented more than a month ago. The worker told us that there are no available cars already for days. No one informed us about this by email or anything. We spent money to come here and we had to pay a taxi to go to the airport, where they sent us to get another car. It is absolutely unfair and unacceptable. I asked the worker to give me a written proof of what happened, as I want a refund from Avis for - at least - taxis, but he said that they can’t write it. He also didn’t want to call their airport office to be 100% sure we will get a car. He just said that there must be a car.They also don’t have WiFi and no bathroom. You will be stuck there if you are without a car and without a local phone.

Contact a branch manager don’t just refer your client to the 1800 number. I was told they can’t add tax exempt because DOH has a special code and it’s not the same code as State of Florida. Well the Department of Health is under the State of Florida. I didn’t have any issues in Brandon Town Center, they applied the tax exempt from the start.
