Went to store on Plantside in Louisville. My reservation was for 11am. They called said they were not going to be ready until 1:30. When we arrived there was no one in the building. There was, however, a phone number on the desk. We called it multiple times it rolled over to a call center at a different state, which was no help at all. I ended up walking out into the parking lot finding a guy who drove a large truck who said he would try to find them. I saw him walking around. He got a really weird look on his face hopped in a semi, and drove off so I decided to walk around myself. I saw a guy washing cars in a bay. He said he didn’t work for the company, but he said those two people never stay inside the building. They hang out in the second bay in the back and smoked all day so I go back in the bay where they hang out all day and smoke they were not in there. I look over they aregetting out of this junky car. She has very messy hair not sure what they were doing in there and I’m like what are you doing? She gets angry because I’m like what the heck I said you know one of you two should be in this building at all time that’s terrible customer service. She gets so angry and confrontational. She calls her boss and she was miles off of a car. Yeah rightThen she threatens me and tells me I can refuse you a car. I asked to speak to her boss. Her boss never spoke to me didn’t show up until I was pulling out of the parking lot, which makes me think she was sitting in the parking lot next-door to me. I keep trying to call. No one answers the phone. This place is terrible. I would never go back there again. I also think they were having sex in that car because that was not a rental car. It was junkie.

Reserved a vehicle as an Uber partner. Went to pick up the vehicle and was told they did not have a car for us. The customer service stated they only have 2 uber cars and one was out of service. I was told we could be added to a written waiting list that currently had 90 people on it waiting. If you do not have cars available, you need to stop taking reservations. We will be reporting the problem to Uber as well. On a side note, the office has a terrible mildew/moldy smell and the outside of the property is run down as well.

Did not have the vehicle I reserved, nothing even close. I saw 3-4 employees walking around, but only 1 was working the front desk. There was a line of 4 waiting right be seen. No one greeted us, told us it would be a minute, nothing. The 1 front desk employee was taking phone calls on the office phone AND on her cellphone. Very unprofessional.

Received confirmation email to pick up a vehicle the next day. We show up and not only is a car not available but the girl behind the desk (who was in pajamas by the way) was EXTREMELY rude, not helpful, awful attitude, chuckling the whole time and tells us she cannot call customer service and we need to “figure it out”. Eventually grabbed a gentlemen who claimed to be co owner with his fiancé and tells us that sometimes this happens and there’s nothing they can do. I was also told the confirmation emails don’t “reserve” you a car. It’s a confirmation that you need one but they may not always have one available. I’ve never dealt with worst customer service in my life. If you need a rental, don’t choose Avis because you will end up leaving without a vehicle. We went to enterprise 13 mins before they closed and walked out with a car last minute. Use Enterprise from now on. The lady at Avis does not belong behind a customer service desk.
