They said it was noted that it was damaged and NOW they put it on me saying I did it. I took pictures and did everything correct and now they say they can use the pictures. GO ANYWHERE ELSE because they are horrible. The whole company is horrible.

I have Presidents Circle or the equivalent at Hertz, Avis, Enterprise, Sixt and National.I booked a full size truck, through Costco Travel, at the Budget GSP Airport location because the price for 9 days was considerably lower than my go-to companies.Arriving at the Budget counter, on a Saturday afternoon, the counter was closed and signs directed me to the Avis counter downstairs. When I arrived at the Avis location there was a line of around 20 people snaking all the way into and beyond the Enterprise counter. While waiting in line I noticed and attempted to use the QR code posted on a sign to add my drivers license and credit card but it was inoperable. Others tried too with no luck.When I arrived, at the front of the line, after nearly an hour waiting, I was told that Budget and Avis have no trucks. There were also 3 separate parties milling about as they had reservations for 3 row SUVs which Avis also did not have.They had been waiting over an hour. I of course, was furious as I had received no notice that the vendor could not perform but I was told in no uncertain terms that this was just my tough luck and that all their trucks were recalled. This answer was neither truthful nor helpful as they have Dodge, Chevrolet and Toyota trucks.. i walked the parking spaces and found a Toyota Tacoma in space F19 and when I brought this to the attention of the desk agent she said it was dirty and they can’t reach the people to clean it so sorry!At this point I checked and the reservation system still showed availability for this day and the rental period. I was offered an 800 number and told to go on my way.My wife arrived about then and gently explained the situation to another agent who began berating her and yelling at her and told her “you just aren’t used to getting no for an answer!” I was ready to begin filming this but mu wife asked me not to. She asked for a manager but was told he was not available. Shortly thereafter someone, I assume the manager they could not reach, sent a Chevrolet Silverado over. We took it 2 hours and 45 minutes after I arrived at the counter. It had been sideswiped and has significant damage but this was “all they had”. (Photos attached.) We did reach the manager at this point and were given assurance that we will not be charged for the damage but this location has no gate so no one noted it in person.I can say with confidence this is one of the worst customer service experiences I have endured. There is absolutely no reason for it and it is frustrating and disappointing.
Jun 01, 2025 · james spykermanMy 83 year old mother, former Greenville resident of 50+ years, just landed in GSP visiting for a week. She needed a rental and we unfortunately chose Budget. NEVER AGAIN! The female attendant (who was apparently the manager) working was extremely rude and unprofessional. The vehicle given was unkept, dirty with trash, had a very pungent odor, and the windows seem to have a film and spots that were unable to be removed with a cloth making it very hard to see out the windows. When my mother asked for another vehicle this is the response she received. "You can't pick what you want, you get what you get". I heard this over the phone as I'm trying to help my mother change her rental. The WORST rental company. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau for sure! (Mother took pictures will post when I receive them) Despicable!I contacted Budget Customer Service to cancel our rental as my mother was without a vehicle and requested a full refund. They said they were able to cancel but charge a $50 dollar cancellation fee. We do not feel we should be charged this fee as my mother never even stepped foot in the car and experienced the worst customer service ever!The Garage parking attendent saw my mother in so much distress she went to see what was going on. The lady saw the state of the vehicle and also confirmed that there is no way Budget should be renting this vehicle in the shape that it was in. And she directed my mother to rent through National and so she did and fortunately received excellent customer service.

The most serious issue occurred when I realized I had left very important items in the vehicle — a set of keys to my warehouse and my sunglasses.When I attempted to contact your customer service for assistance, I experienced repeated hang-ups at a time when the matter was urgent. It took a great deal of time and effort just to get through to a new representative, only to have them disconnect the call again.I also completed the online lost and found form, and three days later I received an email stating that one of my lost items had been found. When I went to the GSP Airport location to retrieve it, the experience became even worse:Upon politely asking the counter staff if I was in the correct place to collect my item, I was met with hostility. One staff member, in particular, was extremely rude, raising her voice at me without any cause.She refused to answer my questions, treated me as though I were doing something wrong simply by being there, and stated that her colleague (apparently the only one who could help me) was “probably late” and would not arrive for another hour and a half — at 11:30 in the morning — without any apology.When I returned later for an update, I was again met with loud, disrespectful treatment. In the end, I was told that the email I received was wrong and that none of my items had actually been found. Once again, no apology was offered.The entire experience left me shocked, frustrated, and deeply disappointed. I have never been treated so poorly by a service provider.

They never inspect or go over the vehicle with you and you pick up in the darkened parking garage. they are also dirty inside and out, but since you have to wait like 20 minutes or longer to get a vehicle, you just feel lucky to get one. Already running late for my trip, when I got going down the road to pick up my family and in the daylight, I noticed a crack on the windshield on the passenger side on the other side of the rear-view mirror. I figured surely they noticed it, and I didn't have time to go back and waste another hour or two to get another one. They have now charged me $700 for a new windshield as I was told it is my fault that they never inspected the vehicle properly. I offered to pay if they could provide video footage of me leaving the parking lot and the windshield showed no crack, but they refused.In an earlier rental experience, I got 20 miles down the road and the time for an oil change light came on. When I returned the vehicle I was told that the people that run this Budget instructed employees to just reset oil change without actually changing the oil and that there are cars there with 70 - 80k miles which have never had the oil changed.
