★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Where to start... first.. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE LIARS. we reserved an SUV for our car rental. When we got to the counter, the lady was hell bent on telling us that there were no SUVs available. They gave us a minivan. When we go out to the minivan, we see two large SUVs on the lot. We asked the lot guy if they just parked the SUVs. They said the people that we just spoke to had those keys. Now we've just been lied to. My wife needed this car because we just got into an accident because some teenager just ran into her, and now these people want to lie to my wife and say there's no SUVs available. This company lies to customers in order to give preference to certain demographics or friends. Maybe it's skin color, maybe it's because we have kids. Either way, this is completely unacceptable on every level. Attached are photos of multiple SUVs on the Budget lot ready for rent. Liars.
Jul 09, 2025 · J P (NO NAME)The lady who was at the counter when I went to pick up my rental after a long night was not friendly.. her first question after how can I help you was how old are you ? After I already had a reservation booked for over three days and Gave her my name... she then proceeded to ask many questions about how many people was I with and where was I going... I think she thought she was being helpful but it came off as nosey after the unprofessionalism she had shown by asking me how old I was before taking My information or I.D.. she had even said I hope I never see that licensee name come up again about another customer or maybe even me when she was talking to the other man behind the counter.I was then given a car that hadEXTREMELY low tire pressure. I parked the car and went back in where she told me that was completely normal and if I drove on it a while it would re inflate it was due to the weather and the next vehicle would most likely have the same tire issue(which it did not).. I expressed my concern that I didn't want to ruin a vehicle by riding on a tire w 20 Psi I had a 3 year old with me in 30 degree weather and I had thought that my vehicle would be ready to go.She tried to get me to take the same van that had low tire pressure and offered no solutions... I was then charged an additional $30 on top of the $115 I had just paid for an unsafe vehicle, just so I would be able to leave with some peace of mind and a vehicle that was ready to use. I will not be using budget ever again through the airport and I will continue to use the guys on the other side of the carousel like hertz and the others because it was not worth the hassle the money or her attitude. Now reading reviews it seems safety is in no regard with this location and I really hope there are no other issues when I return my car now I have anxiety 😕
Apr 19, 2025 · KayaWe were given a Toyota Highlander on Friday night and noticed the tire light was on after leaving the Budget lot. We thought no big deal we can put air in the tire once we arrived at our son’s house. Saturday afternoon it needed a little more. Sunday afternoon a little more. Monday morning a lot more do I called Budget but no answer. We decided to drive back to the airport to make a swap only to be told that they didn’t have any cars available. We took it to a tire repair center think that we will just have it plugged. Waited 90 mins. only to be told that they didn’t have tire had a small slice in the sidewall and canons fixed. Next morning the tire needed 22lbs of air so I called roadside service. They said they could not bring out a new tire. Back to the airport after Roadside said they had two cars available to make a swap. Lady at the airport said no they don’t have cars to swap. I about cried begging for help. Finally, two cars suddenly became available. The lady at Budget remembered us with this issue from the day before. We get another SUV but spent so much time over the course of several days dealing with this tire. Now I receive a bill for $164.75 for “damage” to the vehicle. Horrible experience!!! I’m not paying for a tire that we did not do. It’s obvious that the cars are not gone over after each rental!! I’m beyond angry about this!!
Jul 15, 2025 · Deborah SapliwayMy experience with Budget Car Rental at Colorado Springs Airport was beyond horrific—it was an absolute disgrace. The customer service was an outright joke, and the lack of professionalism from the staff and the manager was jaw-dropping. They acted as if doing their basic duties was some personal favor, and that attitude only got worse as things progressed. I had requested to pick up the vehicle earlier, between 9-10 AM, only to be told it wouldn’t be ready until noon. The vehicle I received was nothing short of disgusting. An ID was left on the console between the driver and passenger seats, and there were wrappers from cookies and chips stuffed between the seats in the second and third rows. This car had clearly not been cleaned at all in between customers. At best, it looked like they did a lazy, quick vacuum, which didn’t even come close to properly cleaning the vehicle. I know this because I detail cars myself, and there’s no doubt in my mind that all they did was the bare minimum. I didn't feel comfortable addressing it because the manager was already incredibly abusive and unprofessional, and it was painfully obvious he knew the car wasn’t properly cleaned. Yet, somehow, I’m being charged for a full car detail. It’s outrageous! They tack on fees at their “own discretion” because of the lazy job they do. All that extra time didn’t include cleaning the damn car and then, instead of resolving the issue as any competent car rental company would, Budget and its staff decided to go on the offensive, tacking on bogus fees out of spite. Budget/Avis Employees at the Colorado Springs Airport location are careless and have a hostile attitude, this made it clear that they wouldn’t help resolve the issue, and if anything, I was genuinely concerned that they wouldn’t hesitate to leave me stranded—just like they did to the elderly couple. This was especially concerning as I had a family emergency to attend to and couldn’t afford to be stuck dealing with their incompetence. To add insult to injury, when I calmly explained that multiple employees had already provided false information, the manager refused to take responsibility. Instead of trying to understand the customer’s needs, he chose to be blatantly disrespectful to me and my wife, throwing the ID back at us and telling us to take our business elsewhere. His behavior was utterly disgusting, and it escalated to the point where he became loud and aggressively disrespectful to my wife. We had no choice but to record the interaction due to how unhinged he was. Like all typical hypocrites, the moment he realized he was being recorded, he immediately switched to playing the victim, acting as though he had been going above and beyond the entire time. It was a pathetic attempt to cover his own tracks, as he put on a show of false professionalism, trying to manipulate the situation while hoping to provoke me into a response that he could use against me. Fortunately, I remained composed, even though his behavior was a disgrace to Budget’s so-called “customer service” I wasn’t the only one treated like garbage at this location. The elderly couple was in their 60s or 70s being treated just as horribly, if not worse. They were told to get out of the line and walk away just because they were asking questions regarding their rental. The representative walked away to the back room and the elderly were left stranded, and the staff couldn’t have cared less. This location operates with a complete disregard for customer service and has zero accountability for their rude, retaliatory, and utterly disgraceful behavior. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague unless you want a dirty vehicle, abusive staff, and baseless extra charges. You'll end up paying extra just to clean a car yourself because the employees here do a terrible job. The only thing the manager and employees at this location seem to pride themselves on is rubbing it in your face that they don’t care about your business and telling you to take it elsewhere. ** No space to upload the video.
Sep 13, 2024 · Infinity - DABRSNo point in making a reservation they will give your car away if a flight is canceled or delayed at another airport. This actually happens with all the rental car places they gave away every single car so they say, but I went out to the parking lot and they were about 30% capacity. A lot of very upset people that had made reservations.
