So since I was early I said I would wait. He said he had called her twice and had no idea when she would arrive if at all. He said he could put me in a SUV but that I would have to pay the difference. My 7 day rental would go from $338 to $400+. Or I could take an Uber from Lewisville Tx to Flower Mound Tx to get a Malibu for my original price from another Budget. I said no I wasn’t paying for an Uber to pick up a car when I had prepaid and had been dropped off where I made my reservation. Then he said if I hadn’t reserved the smallest car he could’ve upgraded me. So basically it’s my fault they had to bait and switch me. Then he was saying they were closing at 5:50 even though my reservation was at 6. So I asked if I had arrived at my reservation time would he have refused to give me the car that I had prepaid for and he said yes because their system shuts down early. So I asked the logical question, why would your system take a 6:00 reservation knowing you would be closed? Of course no reply. This place is so scammy. I have never been to a car rental place that didn’t have what I reserved and refuse to offer a complimentary upgrade for my inconvenience. Furthermore I was left stranded after having to call customer service for a refund. This place is the worse .

This time I picked up from this location and not only was it fast and super convenient the rep was so knowledgeable and informative! This is how you do customer service!!!! Great Job!
Mar 27, 2025 · AnonymousIt was a nightmare. They waited until we showed up to get our rental to tell us they don’t have a car that we did a reservation for. We expected it to be a quick process and head out on our 17 hour drive trip asap and it did not happen like that at all. They offered a big van and big truck saying it was an upgrade when it wasn’t an upgrade to us. It was just two of us with two weekend bags. We needed a small compact vehicle good on gas. We ended up with the big van and it was extremely dirty on the inside and had receipts still on the ground from the last renter. There’s sticky stuff up on the inside of the walls in the back of the van like soda and crumbs from children being in there. The engine light kept coming on throughout the trip. The plugs in the middle console where you would connect your phone kept going out and disconnecting and the lights would go out around it so there’s definitely an electrical issue with the van. We had the tire light come on and it was a 2 hour wait to find out it just needed a lot of air and nothing was in the tire from the long drive. We had called to check on the drop off time since we were running late because of the discount tire issue with the tire light and the guy told us it wouldn’t be a big deal if it was him working but if it was someone else it would be but still proceeded to tell us we could return it any time before noon instead of the original 830am drop off time. Just seems like things are made up as they go. And a $250 deposit is ridiculous when that’s how much the rental was for us for having it for 4 days.

The car had some trash from the previous renters and we found cups from Dunkin in the back of vehicle under the seats and water bottles piled up in the trunk. We had to spend 30 minutes before our trip emptying out the garbage.The owner is an older man so I am willing to look past my experience and he works with his grandson who's name is Zain or Zayn (I forgot the spelling) who provided me with excellent customer service, I think there are two "Zains" that work there since I swung by recently to look at some options for another trip I am planning to take and there was a different person working there who also told me his name was Zain too but the one I'm talking about comes across as very confident with black hair. At checkout, they didn't have many cars left so I had to take an upgrade on the vehicle forcefully. The owner was being a little rude towards me but then Zain suggested that he give me the upgrade for free since its not my fault and the owner listened so I didn't need to walk back in the rain.All in all, really good customer service at this location depending on who is working. Good prices but check the vehicle THOROUGHLY before you rent it.

They didn't say anything until one day after when they call me threatened with a fee and not been able to rent cars with Budget anymore because I was delayed with my return.My reservation number that matches agreement showed 44 days, not 30, so I had no idea about what they did. At location they closed my agreement at 30 days. Since I need a car I was forced to make a new reservation, which end at higher rates to keep the same car.Budget costumer support over the phone was useful saying that the problem was not in my end and their system showed as 44 days not 30 and they told me to go a budget location at airport, because they are more used to long term agreements (original location may not know what they are doing - I think they may know). At airport they try to help, they could change agreement to honor same rates until remaining of 44 days that would solve the rates, but since I'm going to need extended the rental, if they modify rates to match the older agreement, I wouldn't be able to extend and need to drive again 400 mi to make a new rental losing one more day at office. So, I'm still having to pay more for the remaining days, since there is no optimal solution.I'm not happy about that, and I don't think I will rent with budget in the future.
