This is the most unprofessional place I ever been to in Houston. I make reservations for a truck to move and the lady at the counter doesn’t know how to look up the reservation. Then she find and states there is no truck. She tell me to give her 5 minutes and then continued to help other customers. Stating she don’t want to call the owner because it’s his off day but they don’t have the truck I reserved nor is they trying to help me. I had to do everything calling customer service and finding a different truck…. Just unprofessional and stupid

One of the worst places to rent a car from. Very unprofessional and unfriendly employees. I reserved and paid for an intermediate size car. When I went to pick up the car I was taken to the car parking lot and a staff named Porsche showed me the only intermediate size car left to be rented so I decided to take it. I completed the paperwork at the front desk with Porsche. Then she took me to the parking lot and showed me a different sized car. I was surprised because that was not the car she showed me earlier. I told her that and she said this is the only car I can give you because the other car is not ready. So I said you should have told me that at the front desk while doing paperwork to which she said what difference does it make if I told you then or now? I told her that I needed to know what size car I was renting before doing paperwork. She said this is what I can give you and nothing else. If you don't want it then cancel your reservation. Her way of talking was very aggressive. She also gave me wrong information regarding toll use. At the time of dropping off the car a different employee was there who was also very unfriendly. I am never going to get a car from there again.

If I could rate a negative star I would. DONT GO TO THIS BUDGET LOCATION, STAY AWAY!!! I reserved a 12 passenger van back in Jan 2022 for an end of May pickup. I called a few days prior to my pick up date to confirm if they have the van. They did indeed confirmed and verbally told me they see the van parked outside, that it should be the one for me. The day of my pick up came, I was called during my lunch break to be informed they have no van for me and that I would have to wait for one. My first day of my family trip was ruined, I had to scrounge around last minute calling around all of town to find a large van and had to settle with paying almost 3 times more for a last minute reservation at the airport. And all Budget could do for me was to cancel my reservations with no cancellation fees....talking about how upset I was. They did nothing to help me. My suggestion is to NEVER use this Budget location EVER again. Enterprise/AVIS and other car rentals will be more helpful!

I rented a standard SUV and when I arrived, they only had one car left, which was not what I needed. The guy in the office told me I needed call the other Budget down the street because he had just drove by and they had a lot of cars. Not, can I call and check for you, but "You need to call." I call with the phone on speaker to the other location and explained what happened. He says, "Yes, I'll take care of you. I'll get you a nice car. Why didn't you come here first?" I let him know that the current location was closer to my house. The guy overhead what the other location said and got angry. "He handed me back my driver's license and said, "Yeah, go down there. We don't need your money." I get it, you didn't like what the other location said, but I didn't say it. Plus, your customer service is poor. This was the second time I tried to rent from here. The first time, he was late opening the office and held me up. I'll never return here because after all, they don't need my money.

The owner of the location is really sketchy and dishonest. He lied to me multiple times at pick up and drop off. The biggest lie was that I could turn it in late, because this location doesn’t accept late returns, so I was charged for a full day (instead of hourly) and a $20 late fee. I was also charged for gas, although I filled up the tank until it was overflowing at a gas station a quarter mile from the location. I was charged an additional $200 when the car was only $100/day to begin with. I never received an email explaining why the $200 charge was placed. I called the 800 number and was able to get a partial refund.
