★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This place is the worst! There's only one person and he takes 30min with just one customer, laughing and talking while we all stand here waiting. I rushed and got an early flight to be able to spend time in NC before my business duties and this guy is literally taking away all my time. We all picked this place because you save like $30 compared to the other car rentals, but honestly at this point I would rather pay more to go ANYWHERE else, we're all just sitting ducks here. I tried to cancel my reservation and I can't anymore other wise I lose all my money so now I'm stuck here for hours! This is absolutely unacceptable. This is my first time trying this place and it's obviously the very last. These people should be ashamed of themselves. All other rental places are moving fast and dont have a line we have been here for almost an hour now and he's still with the second customer, all he does is laugh and takes no urgency. He should be fired. Most of us in line even did their whole check in taking pictures of the DL and our face, spend a good amount of time to "rush" check in.. what joke!
May 16, 2025 · Maria MotaBeware of being charged for unwanted services. I was charged about $50 for a Fuel Purchase Option after explicitly telling the agent that I would be responsible for buying my own fuel and would return the car with a full tank. After getting off my red eye flight, I didn't catch the fact that the agent had added the extra charge. I don't know if this was an honest mistake or an intentional overcharge. I do know, the agent was trying hard to upsell both their insurance and fuel purchase options. I was very clear that I didn't want either item. I can't help but wonder if the charge was added in an effort to boost a commission. At this point, I'm waiting for a response from the company as to a resolution/refund.Also, the car had a very strong odor of cigarette and cannabis smoke. On a brighter note, the car ran well and got me from point A to B with no issues other than having to tolerate the foul odor.
Jul 07, 2025 · Paul BCheck in staff. The check in representative at Charlotte Douglas Airport was very rude, abrasive and unprofessional. To start with this individual was apparently under some sort of privilege restriction as she requested another employees code to start my rental. Then when she radioed the garage attendant for an available vehicle code, she entered it incorrectly 3 times because she was not focused. I literally heard the code each time and even assisted her by repeating the code. Her response was “I wasn’t really paying attention, I was just typing the keys on the keyboard”. The garage attendant sounded irritated by having to repeat the code several times. The check in attendant was asking details about my travel while I was communicating with my father about the travel details. When I wasn’t able to engage in conversation about my travel details she said “oh ok, I see how you are going to be”. When I asked about the vehicle I was assigned (conversation with my father) she assigned me the smallest vehicle that was not what I reserved! I asked if I could have a different vehicle in my rental class that would accommodate my family better. The representative simply walked away. She retuned with a manager who was SUPER aggressive, speaking with a very berating tone. The manager was very unprofessional for a simple request to change to the vehicle I reserved. The manager suggested I find on the Dollar website where I deserve the vehicle I reserved and prepaid for. His only response was that i upgrade to the next class for an additional $45 per day. I said absolutely not. He settled for $25 per day. I didn’t know it was Dollars policy to endorse extortion with aggressive personnel? The individuals in line behind me shook their heads at hearing this conversation. The check in process took an extraordinary amount of time. Ridiculous!
Jul 13, 2025 · R GraggI rented a car and then was told I was charged 151. for damage. It looks to me that this was done by something closing behind it or coming down on it. It looks like a car wash brush or something. Either way I had the car for a week and it's nice and clean like it left, it's been washed when clearly I didn't wash a rental. The last time I rented with them, I had to fight a smoke charge and I'm asthmatic. Now this non visible 151.00 dent that is oddly placed. Please pay attention and go over cars with fine tooth comb.
Jul 07, 2025 · Lovely 76This was a very stressful exchange. I admit it was partially my fault for not triple checking my account. I arrived at the pick up counter having prepaid for the car itself. I had to give my ID and a credit card charged for $1. That's fine. I then looked over extra protection and opted for basic protection since I have my own insurance and I didn't need extra bells and whistles. They needed to charge my card $330, with the understanding I would be partially refunded upon return of the car in perfect condition. But they needed to charge the card I had just used and it didn't have $330. I couldn't use a different card to pay for the extra protection because I put the $1 on the account. I also couldn't cancel and use a different card because that would cancel the entire reservation that I prepaid for and I would have to start all over. I was informed to call my card company and ask for a special extention on my line of credit. In the end, we figured it out, but it was so stressful.
