The first time was the smell of cigarettes in their vehicles.This time around I reserved a compact car 2 days ahead from Priceline website, paid in full. My pick up was supposed to be at 7 pm but they didn’t have any compact cars. Around 11pm on my phone they alerted me on their website to pick a free upgrade “Chevy Impala” and I did! They told me the car was going to be on parking spot 00317. Guess what, 11:15pm I arrived the lot and spot 00317 was empty. I asked the manager ( Edwin) where was the car located. He and I finally found the car in front of the main gate.When I got in the car, it had a stanched and it looked like it wasn’t cleaned. I didn’t want to stay any longer in that place. After all it was almost midnight and I was tired. Two minutes later into my driving I noticed the“Tire pressure light on” I just shooked my head SMH!!! And planned to call the car rental to complain in the morning.At 10:20am the next morning when I got ready to go to work I noticed that the front left tire was completely flat. I took pictures of the dashboard and the flat tire. I called Dollar Rental customer service to report the problem. They did a report and also transferred me to Roadside Assistance Department to make another report.The bottom line is that this facility should have never let a customer drive off with a vehicle that has a “tire pressure light on “. They never did a complete check of the car. All of this could have been prevented if they inspected the vehicle thoroughly. I managed to changed the tire and put a spare tire on. I lost my morning job pay due to the problem with the vehicle.Today Friday I dropped off the car few hours earlier. When I arrived the rental facility I asked to speak with management. I explained to manager (Edwin) what happened. He actually remembered me from the night I picked up the car. I told him that they should have never rented thatcar with a “tire pressure light on” and that the car was also not cleaned/inspected. I showed them the tire and pictures I took. I also told them that I made a report with the two departments dollar customer service & roadside assistance department. They had all my information and I didn’t have time to do another report. I told the manager Edwin that I needed to be compensated for missing my morning shift. And he wasn’t very helpful with my request. All he was concerned about was do another report. I than called roadside assistance department and told them everything that transpired and they did their report again so that they can try to help me get compensated. They asked me to ask the manager’s name and number. So I did, I asked the manager his name and number but refused to give it to the roadside assistance department. The department told me to make a complaint with the corporate office about the manager (Edwin’s) behavior and for not being supportive. He could have made the whole situation more professional and more transparent. But he chose not to, and here we are with a bad review. I will never do business with the West Palm Beach Airport Dollar Car Rental again. Very disappointed!

I had the car for three weeks, and it truly felt like I had a personal concierge. Any request or concern I had, she was able to resolve quickly and kindly. Outstanding service! The vehicle had white stuff all thru the inside of it, especially on the back. I didn’t exchange it because I was already running late & nobody was getting in back seat. Overall the truck “Jeep Compass” rode real good!!

When I arrived, only two people were working—one assisting the Hertz line (which had just one person), and the other handling our line, which had several people waiting. I understand the importance of being personable in customer service, but when there’s a long line, it’s not the time for extended personal conversations. The employee at the counter was chatting with a customer about their grandchildren, even asking to see pictures—which added several more minutes of unnecessary waiting. At that point, the customer was already done and ready to walk away. It was ridiculous.On top of that, I felt misled by the booking process. The online information said the rental counter was located inside the terminal—which is the main reason I chose Dollar in the first place. Had I known I’d have to take an awful shuttle bus, I never would have booked with them.When I finally got to the counter, the employee was oddly pushy about taking my bags, even though I clearly said I could manage. It made me uncomfortable. Then I got to the vehicle—and it was dirty. There was trash left in the console and some kind of brown liquid spilled. I was dealing with a family emergency and didn’t have time to go back in and complain, but it was disgusting.The gas tank was only at 3/4 full when I picked up the vehicle. I flagged it to the counter employee and was told not to worry—that I should return it with the same amount of gas it had when I left. So I did exactly that. But when I returned the car, the staff outside were rude and disorganized, waving chaotically with no clear direction. One woman was especially rude, questioning why the tank wasn’t full. I explained the situation and what I was told, but she clearly didn’t care. Then she rushed me to unload my two bags—despite the fact that I had a splint on my arm from a recent hand injury. I was doing the best I could, and the lack of patience or basic courtesy was appalling.To top it all off, I was charged an extra $60 because of the gas—despite following the exact instructions I was given. I will never rent from Dollar again. I’m sure my business won’t be missed, but the lack of professionalism, misleading information, and poor treatment from start to finish left me incredibly frustrated.

When I originally reserved the car for the manager special the rate for the week was $139.85. Because of the great rate I extended my rental for another week and the rate was said to be the same rate. When I returned the vehicle I did the normal drop and left. I later checked my email to review the receipt and saw 2 bills. One for $139.85 and another for $618. I returned to speak with an agent about the bill so that I can resolve the correct amount. I was dismissed by Jenny telling me that my card was declined and another hispanic male telling me that I am on the “do not rent list” and that they cant talk to me and that I need to call the billing department. All I wanted to do was resolve my bill for the correct amount. I will not recommend this Dollar Location at the WPB Airport to anyone. They are the epitome of horrible customer service. I am not a dishonest person, I did put a lock on my credit card because I was not going to let this company charge me whatever they wanted to charge. I returned the the location to resolve my bill for the correct amount but because it is Sunday and they did not want to work, it was easier for them to hand me the number to customer service. Had they would have taken the time to assist me and hear what the situation was I would not be writing this review.
