Jun 04, 2024 · I HernandezI rented a mini Cooper from here using a website, i was sent a text by Elite rent a car as soon as they confirmed, upon my arrival at LAX and even way before arriving, I was sent clear instructions by Elite rent a car.*When I landed, I met with Kevin at designated pickup location (will be mentionedin the text), i took a shuttle (shuttle M ) from the LAX to this spot (remote rental car depot, this is how all rental car spots do over here i guess), and then the representative picked me up.-the paperwork process was very easy it took about 10 minutes and Kevin was really nice.*deposit is 300 $. Which I got it back today after 4 days .I picked up the car full tank and i was asked to return it full tank, reasonable enough.*I want to also mention that the car is very gas friendly, during my 4 day stay and driving all around the LA, I only filled it once.The car drove perfect I absolutely loved it. The price was amazing, very reasonable, for a rental car in LA, actually it was the cheapest at the LAX area.-Overall i had a great experience, I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to do business with this location.* I'll attach some of the pictures I took, the car looked brand new, and very clean, definitelythey take well care of them.*Thank you guys for honest and straightforward business.

I’m glad I stuck with them because everything was perfect.You take a shuttle to the car rental pick up area (everyone does) where our driver (really chill dude) was waiting for us (call them once you get to LAX). He took us on a 5 minute drive to a small office. There Fuat went over details and gave us our keys. The car itself was a bit older, a little slow and could have been perhaps a tiny bit cleaner but we were really just looking for something to get us from point A to B so we were totally fine with it. We drove around LA, Malibu and Jashua Tree park so I will say it was super reliable.Our deposit was returned 5 days after drop off as promised. We did pay about $80 bucks more due to being over miles (Joshua tree park was far + we drove all around it) but even then the price was reasonable and less then other rentals. If you’re staying local you should be fine. Would highly recommend them if you’re looking for something quick, cheap and reliable.

As soon as we get into the car, car heavily smelled smoke (marijuana/cigar)all over, Wifey and kidos refused to ride but I convinced them. It was heavily raining outside, and Los Angles city and traffic is way bigger the city we live in.Since I exit out from the Elita parking lot, BRAKE sign pops in the dashboard, I pulled over and checked emergency brake which wasn’t engaged. I was not told there will be any kind of alert in the dashboard. So total unexpected and we were frightened. I have texted them right away but as it was after hours so no reply. I was keep driving to Hollywood and praying God nothing will brakes. (BRAKE alert comes and goes)Next morning, received a text message asking to share the picture of the issue, I have asked a replacement but there was not any SUV available. After some moments received another message saying it is sensor issue but car brake systems all work fine and asked me to no worry just drive. Even I asked to change it to sedan, but they said they are sold out and no alternative. Again, assured me no issue/no worry keep driving.On our second night we went to San Diego, here ENGINE light pops out, good thing I dropped my family to the hotel first then Engine lights came and did not advise my wife about the engine light beside the BRAKE light. Horrible situation, I was sweating in a colder night. I have advised them right away again. Next morning, I called and discussed the situation, again they assured me that the car is drivable, and they always maintain their car. As a gesture of goodwill, they promised me to give 10% off.There was not any more alert after all, I guess 2 is enough. So, my suggestion to Elita, please advise your renter ahead so that they know what to expect. I know you are cheaper than others, but I am not going to bet our lives for saves some money. I have spent more than $6000 for Disneyland trip they go to your economy. But Dear Los Angeles, you frightened us, are we going to come back again?...hmm…not sure.When I cleaned up the car before dropping off, I found cigar butt on the front passenger side pocket so whoever rent before me smoked in the car and Elita did not clean the car properly. Car return was seamless, no issue, Gentleman dropped us off in LAX-IT bus stop to go the airport. They gave me 10% off from my invoice.
