May 19, 2025 · SHAWN HORNEI’d give this branch 0 stars if I could, but do yourself a favor & rent a vehicle somewhere else. First, someone from the branch was supposed to pick me up at the collision repair shop at 10am, that’s what we scheduled for. I sat at the repair shop for 30 minutes waiting for someone to show up. We get back to the branch to get me set up with a rental, & I had to sit there for another 40 minutes waiting because for whatever reason at 11am this place only had ONE employee working. The phone was ringing off the hook with nobody to answer, there was a line of people waiting and a single employee there to check everyone in and get them a vehicle, ridiculous. Finally, I get checked in & the guy tells me “okay, let me go clean it up real quick and I’ll bring it around front” , & in my head I’m thinking aren’t they supposed to clean them when they’re returned? Why am I having to wait for it to be cleaned? Anyways, I sit there for another 35 minutes waiting for him to “clean” it while there’s 4 other ppl in the building waiting. He pulls it around, we quickly so a walk around, cool everything is good. He walks away to go help the line of ppl waiting, I get in, & the car had old french fries down in between the driver seat & the center console, some sticky stuff ran down the side of the center console, & the car REAKED of cat urine to the point that I had to buy 2 air fresheners from a gas station down the road just the be able to drive the thing. Normally I would have requested a different vehicle because it smelled absolutely disgusting & was half a** cleaned but I had already spent over an hour and a half there & with the line of people waiting I would’ve been there another 2 hours if I did. I tried to call later on to complain but once again, no one answers the phone there as they’re clearly always short staffed. I rented the car for 19 days, & picked up my vehicle from the collision shop on a Friday & left the car there as I was told someone from the branch would pick it up. They called me almost a week later to tell me they had just picked up the car because they were short staffed that they were going to charge me a $250 detailing fee because I didn’t vaccum & wipe down the inside. HAHAHAHA! all I was told was that it has to be free of physical damage & have a half a tank of gas when returned, the guy never said anything about me needing to detail it myself before I return it. The guy that called me claimed there was a melted m&m on the carpet & some drink splatter on one of the doors. Aren’t they supposed to wipe down all surfaces of the vehicle before renting it to someone else anyways???? That’s what they say in the advertisement when they put you on hold for 30 minutes. & im pretty sure the m&m that had rolled under the seat wouldn’t have melted onto the carpet had they not left the car sitting at the collision shop in the sun for almost a week after I returned it! Their short staffing issues shouldn’t be my problem & this places customer service is trash. This place is a short staffed joke & take advantage of their customers because they clearly can’t handle the flow of business. They had someone else waiting to rent the car & had the expectation they could just go pick it up & give it to the next person after letting it sit there for a week & then had the nerve to charge me a $250 “detail fee” because they were to short staffed to have time to clean it for the next person. Not to mention, let’s not forget it was dirty & smelled like cat piss when it was given to me. I’ll never rent here again, save your money & frustration & go somewhere else because this place is horrible to deal with.

Cam picked my family and I up when the replacement was ready. He was polite and helped with bags. When we returned the rental 10/10 Rob and Matt both made sure I was satisfied and apologized for the minor issue in the beginning. Amazing staff and very friendly. 1000% WILL RENT AGAIN from this Springfield, MA store.
