When my wife drove into Enterprise's Campus Drive lot in Newport Beach to return the car we had rented, she found only one empty space marked "Car Return Only." She approached slowly, because there were cars in the two adjacent and not very wide spaces.When we talked to a staff person at the desk, he told us that the car had been damaged in the space by hitting a "lighting fixture." I saw a small dent and scratches in the corner of the front bumper. I photographed the space, after realizing what my wife had hit was not the lighting fixture but a large concrete pier that anchored a light pole in the parking space.There were no warning signs or markings concerning the pier, which was 18 inches wide and about 2 feet high. We didn't want to involve our insurance and opted instead to pay for the damage ourselves. I was asked to sign a form that I understood to mean we accepted some but not total liability. But as I said to a staff person, it was clear that the pier was unmarked and would have been barely visible to a driver, especially one worrying about cars in adjacent spaces, since without the usual yellow stripe markings the pier would blend in with the concrete brick wall behind.I took a photo, which shows another car comfortably parked in an adjacent space (without a pier), and much closer to the curb and wall than the pier in our space. A previous customer had left a soda can on the pier, which makes it easy to gauge the pier's diameter: About 18 inches. We believe that the absence of any warning signs or markings on the pier or the wall mean that Enterprise shares liability for the damage. We expected to be out a couple of hundred dollars. But the "Damage Recovery" bill asks $975:Item Total Cost Amount Due Damage $625.90Sublet $250.00Admin Fees $100.00Total Amount Due: $ 975.90That is a ridiculous amount. Even the damage amount is way higher than is usual in my experience under similar circumstances, and the extra Sublet and Administrative Fees are simply unexplained and without any detail or documentation.No information about who did the repair and whether Enterprise was in fact charged anything or paid anything.I called Damage Recovery and was told I had no recourse beyond contacting the Campus Drive branch, which I did. I was told a regional manager would call me back. He never did, in spite of my calling the branch back more than once and on more than one day. I accepted some liability and would have been happy to discuss a settlement. Now, with no response from Enterprise, I have no intention of paying anything. I look forward to seeing these people in court.

Great team customer services was great I’m just notice when I have just a 3min driving oil change light come ON 😞 but otherwise good experience I’ll be back here for sure close to the airport

The backup camera of my recent rental in Jun is not functioning properly. The camera's view is significantly obstructed, rendering it almost unusable for safe reversing and parking. This malfunction poses a substantial safety risk and inconvenience during my rental period. To make matters worse, there was a yellow sticker on the car key that mentioned "back up camera," which leads me to believe that the branch was aware of this defect yet still provided me with this car. This is extremely concerning and suggests a disregard for customer safety and satisfaction.

Summary: We booked a car with Enterprise at the end of October to go on a road trip with our friends from Europe. Enterprise failed to rent us a car and provided poor communication. We lost a lot of money, ruining our long-awaited/carefully planned trip.Since this situation happened, we were promised to speak with someone about it and resolve it, but so far, I haven't spoken to anyone who is able to make a decision.Long version:We have used Enterprise for leisure trips a couple of times now. All was fine until this Christmas mess: our friends from college who live in Europe came to celebrate New Year and do a road trip together. We booked a car (minivan) at the end of October, and once it was confirmed, we booked hotels and found an Airbnb for New Year in the San Francisco area. We were flying back, so we purchased airfare too.On Thursday, one day before taking our car, we got a call from an Enterprise representative confirming the pick-up tomorrow, who assured us that all was good. On Friday, Dec 27th, the Branch manager called to say that they didn't have a car for us. We were worried but okay with postponing picking up a rental car on Saturday. On Saturday, we showed up in the Enterprise office, and we were told there was no car for us.We even got advice to go and book from a competitor.I called the Enretrpise corporate office, and they promised that the area manager would help us, call back, and help us find a car where we fit. No one called back. I called the Enterprise corporate office multiple times that day because the local branch closed at 2 p.m., and no one made any promises. Still, everyone was very sorry about our experience. One manager offered me to rent a vehicle for x3 times the money in the airport location, which was way out of budget but made me furious: all this time, they had a car but didn't want to honor their confirmed reservation for us because it they could rent it out to someone else for more money?As we needed to leave early on Sunday morning, and we didn't receive any communication from Enterprise, we had to cancel the entire trip and lose money on our bookings. We spent hours on the call to get something in credits/vouchers, but the biggest hit we got was from AirBnb because we missed the cancelation window.I've been trying to talk to someone in the Enterprise to get some clarity on what happened and see if they can work with us toward reimbursement for the loss. However, the area leader is on vacation, and no one else can make any decisions. At this point, I'm curious if such a service is even possible.

I called this branch beforehand to make sure they had the car I needed and they told me it was available. When I showed up within 30 minutes they told me they didn’t have the car and they didn’t know who I spoke with. That should’ve been the first red flag and I should’ve gone somewhere else. When I returned the rental car, I was charged much more than what we had discussed. I was told the manager of the branch would give me a call So we could figure something out and that never Happened. Then two weeks after I returned my car I get another random charge from enterprise. The young people that work there are nice and the process is simple. If I wasn’t misled on the pricing and the communication wasn’t so bad I wouldn’t be writing this review.
