I rent cars fairly frequently as I do not like to drive my car long distance. All that came to an end today after a rude customer service associate that has no customer service skills and she needs to be worked with on how to speak to customers. Long story short, I was told differing stories from their main customer service on the phone and the branches policies. I was told I could drop off in a drop box up on return which I was also told when I called in a complaint this evening due to the rude service I received. The info in their systems apparently differs as I was told at the branch I would need to go from a one day rental to a 3 day rental from $65 to $200 or so for a one day car rental. They would not allow me to drop off that evening which I have done in the past on previous rentals. I will not be going to this branch ever again. This has given me a very bad taste in my mouth with Enterprise as a whole. Even if they messed things up in the past they already made it up with great customer service however that is not this branches goal anymore. Now I had to cancel my rental and not sure how I will handle tomorrow due to this individual and their unwillingness to make the situation right. I guess now is a better time than any to start trying out Hertz.

I was dropped off at this location to pick up the car I had reserved. First they tried to force me into a huge van when I had reserved a sedan. Once that issue was corrected I come to find out that they will not except a debit card and will only take a credit card in person. I was never told about the deposit or this policy even tho I had the branch to confirm they had a vehicle and everything was in order for my reservation. The manager would not work with me in any way or even speak to me... He actually instructed his rep to come inside lock up the place and they all left together. They literally left me outside at the branch by myself in sub 35° weather. I had to wait out in the cold over a hour for my ride to come all the way back to get me. They deserve to be looked at by their corporate office for this type of inhumane treatment...

I make reservations in advance, but get the same experience.They will do a courtesy phone call few days in advance and if you don’t answer, they give your reservation away. Likewise I call them to confirm my reservation and they place me on hold immediately. Last time I called, After 7mins. 42 seconds of being on hold, I hung up.One time, I came early before my reservation started and they stated that they didn’t have a car in the lot and was waiting on returns. I waited for 45 mins and eventually I just got whatever was available, which was a suv that does 15mpg. I was on a timeline and Had to drive it to charlotte.Another time, I came late and they gave my reservation away stating I need to go to another location. I asked for a ride to another location and they declined to assist, nor did they check inventories at other locations. They offered a full size pickup or a tiny compact car instead, but both didn’t suit my needs for long distance. I called enterprise corporate and informed me that if I get an uber, I’ll get reimbursed. magically, the location then found a car and stepped out to retrieve it.They tried to give me discounts and refunds to make sure I don’t give bad reviews. I’d rather be truthful than be bought out.I’m assuming enterprise is going to reply with a generic message to contact their support team, which I already did.
May 29, 2025 · Chris BIt started out rough, I had to change my plans and leave a day earlier. It did the reservation change the day before leaving (Thursday, May 1). On Friday (May 2), the Wake Forest branch called to say that they were overbooked on minivans and that it would be a stretch to fulfill the change dates. I was panicking and stressed because I needed to go. I began calling other Enterprise offices to see if they could help me out. My last resort was to get from RDU (45 min away). While I was on a call, Terrence from the Wake Forest branch called and said they found me a minivan about 3 miles down the road. He said he already spoke to the manager there (Ben) and they could pick me up at noon; I really needed the pick up service at that time.The Lois Lane branch (Ben) and the Wake Forest branch (Terrence) worked together to make sure I got a minivan and was picked up ahead of schedule. I recommend both branches.Keep up the good work!
