Enterprise Rent-A-Car Introduce
In the great state of Washington, where the landscapes shift from the misty mountains to the bustling urban centers, having a reliable mode of transportation is paramount. For residents of Vancouver, a city that sits on the scenic Columbia River and serves as a gateway to both Oregon and the rest of Washington, a car is essential for navigating everything from daily commutes to weekend adventures. Whether you need a temporary vehicle for a business trip, a family vacation, or a replacement while your car is in the shop, a trustworthy car rental agency is a valuable resource. Enterprise Rent-A-Car, a globally recognized brand with a local presence in Vancouver, offers a wide range of services designed to meet these diverse needs.
This particular Enterprise branch, located at 11516 NE 66th St, distinguishes itself with several key features that cater specifically to the local community. It is identified as a women-owned business, which is a significant point of pride and a testament to its commitment to diversity and local leadership. Beyond its ownership, the branch is also committed to accessibility, offering a wheelchair-accessible entrance and parking lot, ensuring that a wide range of customers can comfortably access their services. Furthermore, they support those who serve by offering active military discounts, a thoughtful touch that resonates deeply within the community.
However, the experience at a large rental chain can vary greatly from one customer to another, and the reviews for this specific location reflect that reality. The reviews paint a picture of a place where service can be either incredibly positive or incredibly frustrating. On one hand, a customer named Olivia is praised for providing "incredible service," going "above and beyond" to work with an insurance company and make sure everything went smoothly. This positive review highlights the personalized and caring attention that some customers receive, demonstrating that when the service is good, it is truly exceptional. It points to a branch that, at its best, is kind, accommodating, and willing to put in the time and effort to solve complex problems for its clients.
On the other hand, a very detailed and lengthy negative review describes a "nightmare" experience with a manager who was perceived as rude and "unhinged." This customer's story illustrates the potential pitfalls of dealing with a service-based business. The review cites issues with rigid policies, a refusal to grant an insurance extension for one day, and a subsequent incident with a cracked windshield. The customer was allegedly laughed at, humiliated in front of others, and had their credit card charged without permission. The review goes on to recommend a different Enterprise location in Vancouver, suggesting that the problem lies specifically with this branch's management and not the brand as a whole.
This dichotomy in customer feedback is a crucial piece of information for any potential renter in Washington. It suggests that while the brand name Enterprise carries a certain level of trust and provides a standardized fleet and process, the local execution of that service can be unpredictable. The glowing review from a customer helped by a manager named Olivia stands in stark contrast to the negative experience that led another customer to say they would "never ever ever ever go to this location again." This underscores the importance of both the human element in customer service and the brand's response to such issues.
Enterprise's Vancouver location, like its counterparts across the country, is a key provider of both car and van rentals. This dual service makes it a versatile option for a wide range of needs. Whether you need a compact car for a weekend in Portland, a full-size SUV for a family trip to the Olympic Peninsula, or a cargo van for a moving project, this branch is equipped to handle it. They accept a variety of payment methods, including credit cards, debit cards, and NFC mobile payments, adding a layer of convenience and flexibility for their customers.
The sheer scale of Enterprise means that they often have a vehicle for almost any situation. Their inventory is extensive, and their booking process is straightforward, whether you do it online, by phone, or in person. This is a significant advantage for those who need a car quickly and with minimal fuss. For the community in Vancouver, having access to such a robust fleet of options from a local branch is a major benefit, as it eliminates the need to travel far to find the right vehicle.
In summary, Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Vancouver, WA, is a local business that represents a global brand. It is distinguished by its women-owned status and commitment to accessibility and military discounts. The service, however, is a product of its management and staff, as evidenced by the conflicting customer reviews. While some have experienced exceptional, empathetic service, others have faced significant challenges. This creates a situation where the choice to rent from this particular location comes down to a customer's tolerance for risk and their faith in the brand's ability to consistently deliver on its promises.

What is worth choosing
For a Washington resident, choosing this Enterprise location is worth considering for several key reasons, but with a note of caution. On the one hand, its status as a women-owned business with a commitment to military discounts and accessibility makes it an appealing choice for those who want to support a business that aligns with their values. The brand's reputation ensures a standardized fleet of well-maintained vehicles and a reliable booking process. On the other hand, the provided customer reviews present a stark contrast in the quality of service, highlighting the potential for a difficult experience. The decision to rent from this branch ultimately depends on whether you are willing to navigate this potential variability in exchange for the benefits of a major brand's resources and the branch’s specific community-focused features. If you are a person who values the possibility of receiving incredible service from a team like Olivia's, while being prepared to address potential issues, this location could be a good choice. However, for those who seek guaranteed peace of mind and are risk-averse, it may be prudent to consider the alternative location suggested in the review.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This location is problematic to save the least. The actual manager is quite rude.I had not been in an accident in at least a couple decades, so I was a little frazzled when I went to pick up my rental after someone T-boned my car. The insurance company that was paying for the rental 'forgot' to add on the extended coverage and this Enterprise would not allow me to buy one day of extra coverage (I was told they only do it for a week at a time ). When the adjuster added the extra coverage at 5 AM the next morning, this location required me to come back and have the car 'inspected '. Aside from being a hassle, on my way over to the location a rock popped up and hit my windshield on the freeway, causing a long crack down the middle of the windshield, right in front of my face, right at the line of sight. When I got to this enterprise location, I immediately told them what happened and they told me I owed them $650. Aside from that, the manager told me she would not give me a new rental car until I paid for the windshield damage, EVEN THOUGH the crack in the windshield went right over my eye line all the way to the middle of the windshield, making it very unsafe for me to drive (aside from being against the law). When I told the manager this, she literally laughed in my face and said "I have never heard of anyone getting a ticket for that !" Please see the pictures I have uploaded at how bad the crack was. On top of the accident and the chaos it caused in my life, this enterprise made the whole accident experience much worse. Worse still, they just charged my credit card without my permission, maxing it out in a time when I was unable to work because of the accident. The whole experience was a nightmare, and I'm still trying to get my money back from them (including the $50 they told me I would be refunded at the end of the rental). Outrageous.I think it is truly a management problem at this location, as the manager is a little unhinged and doesn't seem to have a great deal of experience in customer service. It's too bad because she is modeling that behavior for her employees. When I told her I was having some financial difficulty because of the accident and I couldn't do anything to pay for the windshield now (she wouldn't even consider that it was the insurance company, Liberty Mutual, fault )she loudly stated, "Well we will just send you to collections" literally in front of all of the people that were in the store at that time. It was humiliating, especially since I didn't say anything about not paying it and was telling her it was the insurance company's responsibility. I even told her that if they had allowed me to pay for the day of extra coverage(like the fourth plain location did)then we wouldn't have a problem. But she had no answer for that. I will never ever ever ever go to this location again.I will say, though that I don't know specifically that it's the location's problem or enterprise's problem because I was told three days in a row that an area manager would get back to me about the problem at that location, but never did.Save yourself potential hassle and go to the fourth plain location if you insist on renting with enterprise. I have had excellent rental experiences with the fourth plain location. I chose this location when the rental contract allowed for another week. The insurance company, Liberty Mutual, did the same thing and did not add the extra coverage the first day, but this location allowed me to pay for that day and even refunded it, as well as my $50 hold. Not only that, they didn't require me to come back to have the car inspected again for the extra coverage. The manager was very pleasant and helpful and fast. I highly recommend the fourth plain location.I just saw Enterprises reaction to my review. Christopher, I have gone to the customer service page for enterprise several times. I have called three times and was told an area manager would get back to me (never happened) and sent two emails for help - nothing. Enterprise knows how to reach me, they just don't care too.
Aug 19, 2025 · Rachel DeLaPlaineIncredible service! I had a couple of difficulties with my insurance company and the branch manager, Olivia, worked with them to clear everything up. She spent a lot of time and effort to make everything go smoothly. Everyone at this location has been so nice and accommodating. Thank you!
Sep 18, 2025 · Shawn DeatonMy rental experience was initially through Geico with Enterprise being the car rental company. The Enterprise rental staff was so patient and the customer service was excellent! The Enterprise was the Vancouver Wa 11516 NE 66th ST. When Geico Insurance refused to pay the rest of my car rental, the staff at Enterprise was very knowledgeable and patient. The Enterprise staff's knowledge and patience was a blessing in such a stressful situation for me. I will definitely rent a car from them again.
