Apr 20, 2025 · Profit_54The associates don't find it important to stay for the duration of their business hours. I am in the military and my family and I flew from Japan to visit our family in Va. Needles to say, after 25 hrs of traveling, we were tired, just wanted to see our family, and shower. My flight landed at 1100pm and we made it to the rental counter by 1130pm. They say they close at midnight. There were already a few people in line waiting, which leads my to believe the associate had already left closer to 1100 or sooner. We initially figured the associate just stepped away for a second. 30 minutes later, we all realized that no one was coming. The only rental service that honored their business hours were Avis and Budget, but they did not have a vehicle to accommodate us. We as well as some of the other customers had already paid for their vehicle.... for nothing. We had to pay for a taxi to drive us when we should have had a vehicle. We contacted customer service for assistance. The agent assumed that we arrived after midnight and told us that we could just come back the next morning for our rental. Very unhelpful. Enterprise should have to pay for the taxi ride that we shouldn't have needed. The taxi driver even informed us that this is common at this location and that he makes a lot of business off of Enterprise customers who leave without a vehicle for this very reason. To the leadership in charge at this Enterprise location: Please hire associates that honor your business hours. This is a bad look. You will lose a lot of customers this way.

Knowing the rules may be different for the airport I called beforehand to ensure I did not need a flight booking to rent a car, I was assured I did not, provided I pay a $400 down payment. I was perfectly fine with this, however after booking and getting to the airport I was informed at the counter that I needed an outbound flight booking, by a gentleman who sounded suspiciously like the same person I talked to on the phone. Staff needs better training.

Did not take insurance but they charged credit card 400 I guess just in case something happens but it was removed within 2 days after we returned home. Great Job Enterprise!
