Enterprise Rent-A-Car Introduce
For residents of Ohio, particularly in the affluent and active community of Dublin, having access to reliable transportation is key. Whether it's for local commutes, family trips, or as a temporary replacement vehicle, car rental services are a go-to solution. Enterprise Rent-A-Car, a widely recognized name in the industry, has a branch conveniently located at 6756 Perimeter Loop Rd, Dublin, OH 43017, USA.
While Enterprise, as a global brand, aims to provide consistent service, it's crucial for local users to understand the specific experiences reported at individual branches. This article will provide an objective look at the Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Dublin, based on publicly available information and detailed customer reviews. It's important to approach car rental decisions with a full understanding of potential challenges, ensuring a smooth and safe experience for all Ohioans.
The Enterprise Rent-A-Car branch is situated at 6756 Perimeter Loop Rd, Dublin, OH 43017, USA. This location places it in a commercial hub within Dublin, a prominent suburb northwest of Columbus. Perimeter Loop Road is known for its business parks and retail establishments, making the branch relatively accessible for residents of Dublin and neighboring areas like Powell and Hilliard.
As a neighborhood branch, its primary purpose is to serve the local community for various short-term transportation needs, rather than airport travelers. The hours of operation are generally Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with Sunday closures. While the location itself is straightforward to find, the actual accessibility of services, particularly for issues encountered outside these hours, needs to be considered. Ease of physical access to the building does not always equate to ease of service, as evidenced by some customer feedback regarding responsiveness.
Enterprise Rent-A-Car typically offers a comprehensive range of car rental services aimed at a diverse customer base. At their Dublin, Ohio location, these services would generally include:
Wide Range of Vehicles: Enterprise usually provides a variety of vehicle classes, including economy cars, compact sedans, full-size sedans, SUVs (various sizes), minivans, and potentially pickup trucks or cargo vans. This aims to cater to different customer needs, from daily commutes to family trips or business use.
Short and Long-Term Rentals: Customers can rent vehicles for various durations, from a single day to several weeks or even months, depending on their requirements.
Insurance Replacement Rentals: A significant part of Enterprise's business involves providing replacement vehicles for customers whose cars are being repaired, often coordinating directly with insurance companies.
Optional Protections and Add-ons: Like most major rental companies, Enterprise offers various additional protection plans (such as Damage Waiver, Supplemental Liability Protection) and equipment (like GPS or child seats) for an extra charge.
However, customer reviews paint a stark picture regarding the actual quality and execution of these services. While one customer acknowledged "customer service was great" and specifically lauded an employee named Bree as "excellent for sure," the positive sentiment ends there. The provided information details significant and alarming issues:
Vehicle Condition and Safety: Cars provided have been described as having "warped rotors" (affecting braking), "wipers did absolutely no cleaning" during rain, "multiple dents and dings," and a pervasive "smelled like someone smoked an entire pack of cigarettes." Most critically, one customer reported a "2023 Toyota Rav4" having its "back passenger tire literally exploded off the car while going normal freeway speeds" within less than four hours of rental. This indicates severe and potentially life-threatening vehicle maintenance failures.
Cleanliness Concerns: Beyond smoke odor, a customer renting from a different Enterprise location (Grandview, but mentioned in the context of Dublin's response) reported discovering the driver's seat smelled of "human urine," indicating a shocking lack of cleanliness and preparation.
Post-Rental Claims and Accountability: Enterprise reportedly filed an $8,000 damage claim against a customer's insurance, alleging the tire explosion was due to "driving with the parking brake on" – a claim that mechanics and a lawyer confirmed to be "physically impossible" for a 2023 vehicle and demonstrably false. This highlights a deeply concerning practice of shifting blame and pursuing fraudulent claims against customers.
Customer Service Discrepancies and Rudeness: Despite initial apologies after the tire incident, the Dublin manager later "stood firm saying it was our fault." When a customer called this Dublin location about the urine-smelling car from another branch, they were "rudely denied" a replacement and told to "show up and demand a car from the initial ones." Upon doing so, an employee "got an attitude" and expressed disbelief, only relenting when challenged to "smell it yourself then." This indicates a systemic issue with empathy, accountability, and professional conduct when problems arise.
When evaluating Enterprise Rent-A-Car at 6756 Perimeter Loop Rd in Dublin, Ohio, the "features" and "highlights" are unfortunately dominated by deeply concerning customer experiences that should serve as significant warnings for prospective renters.
Individual Employee Excellence (Isolated): While the overall impression is overwhelmingly negative, there is an acknowledgment of at least one excellent employee, Bree, who provided "great" customer service. This suggests that individual efforts might be commendable, but they appear to be overshadowed by broader operational and ethical issues.
Catastrophic Vehicle Safety Failures: A primary highlight (or rather, lowlight) is the report of a tire "literally explod off the car" at freeway speeds. This is not merely an inconvenience but a severe safety hazard that could have led to a "horrible pile up." This raises grave questions about vehicle inspection, maintenance protocols, and safety standards at this location and potentially within Enterprise's broader fleet management.
Pervasive Vehicle Condition Issues: Beyond the catastrophic failure, routine complaints about "dry rotted bald tires," malfunctioning heating and wipers, persistent cigarette smoke odor, "multiple dents and dings," and even a car smelling of "human urine" from another branch (but handled poorly by this Dublin location when seeking resolution) point to a systemic failure in providing well-maintained, clean, and roadworthy vehicles.
Alleged Fraudulent Insurance Claims: The most egregious "feature" is the accusation of Enterprise filing an "$8,000 worth of damage" claim against a customer's insurance for an incident that Enterprise had previously acknowledged as their fault and was mechanically impossible to be the customer's. This aggressive and seemingly false claim, requiring legal intervention to resolve, is a significant ethical concern and a major risk for renters.
Dismissive and Unresponsive Management/Staff (Post-Issue): Despite individual positive interactions, the overall response to serious issues, particularly from the manager, has been described as rude, denying responsibility, and showing a lack of belief in genuine customer complaints (e.g., the urine smell). This highlights a severe deficiency in post-rental customer support and problem resolution.
These are not merely minor inconveniences but profound operational and ethical failures that make the overall "features" of this location highly detrimental to potential renters.

Address: 6756 Perimeter Loop Rd, Dublin, OH 43017, USA
Phone: (614) 889-9886
Mobile Phone: +1 614-889-9886
As previously noted, the operating hours are typically Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. It is closed on Sundays. Given the serious concerns raised in customer reviews, potential renters are strongly advised to exercise extreme caution if they choose to engage with this location. It would be prudent to document all interactions, inspect vehicles thoroughly before taking possession, and understand all terms and conditions meticulously, particularly regarding insurance and liability.
For locals in Ohio, particularly those residing in Dublin and the surrounding areas, the Enterprise Rent-A-Car branch at 6756 Perimeter Loop Rd appears to be highly unsuitable for car rental needs, based on the severe and consistent negative feedback from actual customers. While its physical location offers proximity within Dublin, the overwhelming array of critical issues far outweighs any convenience.
The most pressing concern is the documented evidence of potentially dangerous and poorly maintained vehicles. Reports of "dry rotted bald tires," non-functional wipers, braking issues due to "warped rotors," and critically, a tire "exploding off the car" on a freeway, demonstrate a profound and unacceptable disregard for customer safety. For Ohioans trusting a rental company with their lives on the road, these are non-negotiable failures. The added issues of uncleanliness, including a car reeking of cigarette smoke or, in one shocking instance from another branch, human urine, further diminish any sense of reliability or professionalism.
Beyond vehicle condition, the post-rental practices and customer service responses are deeply troubling. The alleged attempt to fraudulently claim $8,000 in damages against a customer's insurance for an incident confirmed to be impossible for the customer to have caused, and requiring legal intervention to resolve, is a severe breach of trust and ethical conduct. This indicates a willingness to pursue customers for damages they did not cause, creating immense stress and financial burden.
Furthermore, the instances of rude and dismissive management and staff when confronted with legitimate complaints reflect a systemic lack of accountability and customer care. For locals needing quick, reliable, and respectful service, especially during times of personal vehicle issues, this branch's reported conduct is unacceptable.
In conclusion, while Enterprise is a major brand, this specific Dublin, Ohio location has significant and well-documented issues concerning vehicle safety, cleanliness, post-rental accountability, and customer service. Given these grave concerns, locals in Ohio are strongly advised to seek alternative car rental providers that can offer a genuinely safe, clean, and trustworthy experience for their transportation needs.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Customer service was great. Bree was excellent for sure. The car sucked. Newer charger with warped rotors so hitting the brakes was great. It rained while I had the car and the wipers did absolutely no cleaning. The key fob battery died so I had to replace that and it smelled like someone smoked an entire pack of cigarettes in the car with the windows up. Car had multiple dents and dings in it also.
Aug 05, 2023 · IrishmanCliche to say, but if I could leave zero stars, I would. Talk about an absolute nightmare. I only get to leave a review now because I've officially sorted everything out with my lawyer. Back in June of last year, I rented a car from them. It was a 2023 Toyota Rav4. Had the car for less than four hours before the back passenger tire literally exploded off the car while going normal freeway speeds. We were on the highway in a single lane between those cement construction barriers. The tire blew seconds after we cleared back to a normal four lane, any second sooner and we would've been in a horrible pile up. We had to cross three lanes of traffic to get to the side of the road on nothing but the rim and replace the wheel with the donut. Either the tire was retreaded and blew and/or it was not properly secured to the car. It was gone and there was nothing but mangled rubber left. Upon returning the car, we explained what happened and the guy didn't even bat an eye or apologize. Just told us that we aren't at fault and they'll take care of it. Wasn't even offered a refund either until my mother angrily called the next day and demanded my money back for almost killing me. The lady my mom spoke with completely agreed that they were at fault and issued the refund. Fast forward THREE months later and I'm getting a call from my insurance inquiring over a claim enterprise has made against my insurance. Unbeknownst to me, they claimed that I caused $8,000 worth of damage to the car and that the tire exploding was MY fault for, "driving with the parking brake on". Mind you, this is a 2023 car, it is physically impossible to drive a new car like that with the parking brake engaged, it will automatically turn itself off. Even if somehow it was on, you can feel resistance from a parking brake and couldn't possibly be going highway speeds without noticing something like that. I called this location to figure out what was going on, and the manager stood firm saying it was our fault despite them claiming responsibility all those months ago. I filed to fight this claim and received a letter not long after that they were still going to pursue me for this money even after investigating. I lawyered up and got confirmation from several sources, including mechanics, that what enterprise claimed against me is impossible. They got a letter from my lawyer and immediately backed off after all of this back and forth for two months. And on top of all of this, I got rear ended in my own vehicle and needed a rental again, this was before I found out they were coming after me. This one was from the Grandview location. When I first got the car, my boyfriend and I noticed a smell, but dismissed it as cleaning chemicals. The next day it was warmer outside and the smell was overpowering when I got in the car. I got out and smelled the driver's seat. Human urine. I was so disgusted, like are you kidding me!? I was so mad I didn't realize sooner and had been sitting in that. Whichever employee that cleaned the car before I rented it either didn't notice or didn't care and just chemically masked it. I called immediately and they had the audacity to tell me maybe they could get me a different car the next day. I called this Dublin location explaining the problem and hoped they would give me a car, as the Grandview one said they had none available. I was rudely denied and told to show up and demand a car from the initial ones. I did just that and the guy got an attitude with me and said I would have to pay to upgrade to an SUV. I argued with him, rightfully so, and he said, "I'm not trying to discredit what you're saying, but I have trouble believing someone would do that." I said, "Go and smell it yourself then." He shut right up and said he'll get me the SUV at no additional cost. He then had ME smell the new one to confirm that it was clean. I will NEVER be renting from an enterprise again. The incompetency and audacity is unbelievable.
