The criminals pretty well destroyed my very nice, Subaru automobile. I had paid off the car loan and had kept the car in pristine condition. It had fewer than 35,000 miles on it.Since I went to the hospital adjacent to my destination, I didn’t rent an automobile at the carjacking location. But days later, upon my return home, upon the advise of my insurance company, I contacted the Enterprise Rent-A-Car location, which was closest. My car insurance policy gave me a discounted rate with Enterprise Rent North Carolina, North Carolina-A-Car. Since I didn’t have a working vehicle, I was requesting a call back so that we could discuss a month’s rental on a car, which I needed delivered to my home.Over a period of several days & daily calls, no Enterprise employee called me back. Finally, my husband called them and reached an employee. They said we had to come in person to make arrangements.So the convenience factor, where a car would be delivered, wasn’t offered as an option. I have a very high credit rating and in the past, I have rented vehicles; for use when I’ve flown somewhere.The last time I had a damaged car, my automobile insurance towed my damaged car to their appraisal center; where they told me whether the car was to be repaired or declared totaled. Then I could rent a car at their location. Everything in the insurance industry is changing.When we went to rent the vehicle at any sense the local Enterprise Rent-A-Car, the representative basically ignored me and worked with my husband who was not going to be driving the rental.None of it made any sense. Although we left in two cars, my husband left in his own car and I drove the rental car. I didn’t understand what had just happened.I had told the Enterprise employee that we couldn’t be sure how long I would need the vehicle. It would depend on how long it took to have my car appraised and body shops were months behind in appraising damaged vehiclesAs it turned out, I didn’t keep the rental car for the full 30 days I was eligible for ( under the terms of my insurance policy.) Instead I chose to spent many weeks without a rental vehicle waiting for my Subaru to be evaluated and then repaired because dealing with Enterprise was just too challenging.In the end, in addition to paying $30 a day for every day I had the vehicle, an illegally high towing fee, my credit card was also charged a $1000 deductible fee. The whole experience was a nightmare.Bottom line, if I ever have a car damaged again, I won’t rent from Enterprise. I would keep my damaged car in my garage for as many months as takes until I had an appointment at the Subaru dealer, who had their own in-house rental cars and pay the higher cost.As it is, I’m left with a bitter aftertaste. I realize Enterprise is not a charity, they don’t owe me anything other than an appropriate business relationship. They have to make enough money to remain operational. However, by using Enterprise Rent-A-Car, I lost money on my insurance company’s rental car expense benefit, suffered further embarrassment and discrimination, did without a working vehicle for over 4 months & my “repaired” car is nothing like my original car.

On the flight to Denver, got off the plane to see I had a voicemail from them saying they don’t have any cars available 😊 completely screwed me over. Could have ruined my entire vacation. Thank god Avis pulled through. I will never deal with Enterprise again. Absolutely awful & will apparently cancel on you at the very last second.
