★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1After my own car was struck on a side street (see photo), it wasn’t drivable and I needed a rental. However, the other driver’s insurance was not able to be reached at first. Sam and Daniel at Enterprise in Albany, OR helped me work through every possible issue, got me a great rental and worked with me every step of the way. Highly recommend!
Apr 02, 2025 · Jennifer MoodyYesterday was the fourth time I used the company's services, and everything was great. However, my experience with this branch left a negative impression.I work as a truck driver, and from March 28 to 30, I had to wait for my load near Albany. To save time, I decided to rent a car for a couple of days and explore Oregon. I made a reservation through Expedia and left my truck at the Loves truck stop. At 5 PM, I arrived at the company's office to pick up the car. At the reception, they looked at my and my girlfriend's driver's licenses, asked us which car we wanted, and told us to wait.We waited for 40 minutes, and about ten minutes before closing, the girl who was processing our paperwork told us that they were finding us a good car.Five minutes later, another girl called us over, and that's when things started getting confusing. She looked at our Massachusetts driver's licenses again, and then said that since we were staying at a truck stop, the address wasn't valid, and we had to provide proof of an address in Albany! Alternatively, a hotel!First of all, what kind of proof of an address are we talking about??? I've booked a car at Enterprise three times, and they never asked for an address (which is impossible). Okay, I offered to make a reservation at a cheap hotel in Albany just to provide the information they requested (since it was still cheaper for me than driving to Portland), but they told me that I could cancel the reservation and they wouldn't accept it. They also said that they didn't have a car available for me. (For everyone else in line behind us, they found a car.) I asked if they could find a car for us if we arrived the next morning, but she said that it required the approval of a manager!😳 She doesn't solve it, and it's unlikely that we can hope to rent a car. There's no help in finding a way out of the situation. I've asked what can be done to resolve the situation positively, but I've been met with a glassy-eyed ignore. I'm still unclear on the reason for this behavior towards me.As a result, we had to take a bus to Portland and rent a car there! In this branch (445 SW Pine St, Portland, OR 97204), everything was quick, friendly, and without confirming the address (clearly, it wasn't necessary in Albany either).Due to the very strange treatment I received in this branch, I faced immense inconvenience!!! It cost me around $40 for the Portland bus, $100 for a taxi from Portland to Albany, and $50 for transportation to the office and back to the bus. Most importantly, I lost a significant amount of time and had a negative emotional experience. This is how non-radium employees ruin the company's image. It would be fine if there were alternative companies, but Albany is a small town, and this was the only option!
Jul 21, 2025 · Aleksei PlotnikovI parked next to the chiropractor's office in what looked like their parking lot, but it turned out to belong to Enterprise. There are no signs warning that you can’t park there or that towing is enforced. The Enterprise manager immediately called a towing company, and they arrived about 30 minutes later. Thankfully, the towing employee asked around to find the owner, and I was able to move my car. They mentioned that people often park there by mistake because there are no warning signs. It seems Enterprise refuses to put up signs on purpose to get more people towed.
Aug 13, 2025 · Tatiana GIf I could leave negative stars, I would. My experience with Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Albany, Oregon was not just inconvenient — it was life-altering in the worst possible way. I arrived there a harried traveler with a small disabled vehicle, already vulnerable, already overwhelmed. But I was prepared: my insurance had set up direct billing for a rental. On top of that, I offered a full-value cash deposit to guarantee my reliability. That should’ve been more than enough.Instead, the branch manager flat-out refused to issue the car. No explanation that made sense — just a wall of policy jargon, smirks, and subtle judgment. It was a modern-day “no vacancy” sign directed squarely at someone who doesn’t pass their unspoken dress code of who deserves safety, dignity, or a ride.Let me be clear: I am queer, transgender, and disabled. The policies at play here weren’t just inconvenient — they were discriminatory in effect if not outright in design. There was no issue with funding, no issue with logistics — only a local gatekeeper who seemed more interested in power-tripping and profiling than customer service.I have never in my life encountered such callous disregard for someone in crisis. My vehicle was disabled. I was left without shelter, without mobility, and without any recourse in a town that clearly wanted me gone. Their decision didn’t just inconvenience me — it triggered a total life meltdown.Enterprise corporate, do you condone this? Do your “local policies” allow managers to target the vulnerable and deny service based on identity under the guise of “policy?” Because that’s what happened here. You don't get to hide behind a corporate slogan while local branches act like checkpoint authorities. You may claim this was “not discrimination,” but when someone is left stranded, houseless, and without a single option despite insurance, money, and documentation, that’s not just bad service. That’s systemic cruelty. And it happened on your watch, with your name on the door.Shame on you, Enterprise Albany. Shame on your “policies.” And shame on any corporation that lets this pass as acceptable behavior. You broke more than a reservation. You broke trust, safety, and a human being’s last fragile thread of hope.
Jul 10, 2025 · chromaListen people, if you want friendly competent service and hassle free reservations look no further! Enterprise took their time with me to find the best available price and provided remedies for my complicated schedule with AmTrak. I am forever grateful!Special thanks to Daniel in Albany who went the extra mile for us!
