However I am pleading with anybody potentially renting from this location to take the time to go to a different location. I arrived to rent a car for my company and was told I was on a "no rent list". I have never recieved any notification of this or was aware at all. I asked how I can resolve this and he had no idea and just handed me a little piece of scrap paper with a phone number on it to call. I called the number and was informed that I had a withstanding charge from 2020 that I was completely unaware of and again, was never made aware of. I paid the charge right away and was told I was cleared and good to go. I went back to the front desk and the guy told me I was good to go and it would just be a couple minutes to get my vehicle. 30 minutes passed and 6 other customers came and went while the guy didn't say a word. It wasn't until the place was completely empty and we were sitting there in awkward silence that he informed me that the only car they had for me had a broken tail light. He said they were sending someone to retrieve a vehicle from a different location and it would only be 15 more minutes. Another 30 minutes passed in silence, not one "sorry for the delay", "heres why this happened" nothing, just silence. When I finally did receive the car, it had a cracked windshield, half a tank of gas and the whole trunk liner ripping out. It wasn't until I received the car that the guy mumbled a "sorry that took so long". Avoid this location at ALL COSTS, I have never experienced such horrible customer service in my life and I hope nobody else has to deal with this place.

Offered an upgrade because of the inconvenience created from a 3rd party involved. Enterprise is always our first choice. This is the third location in the Raleigh area that we have rented from and this was easily our favorite of the three. Keep up the great customer service guys... it's truly a lost art. Highly recommend this location.
Jun 07, 2025 · Pratt LCMy wife just had our third experience with this particular location yesterday. For the second time, they had no record of our rental and no cars available. When provided with the copy of our confirmation, they were unable to offer any assistance. They said our rental was at the Capital Blvd location, which it was not. Thankfully the reps at that Capital Blvd location were great and got us sorted despite not having a reservation for us. I previously used the Enterprise on Wilmington and yesterday had a great experience with the one on Capital Blvd, so I'm guessing it must just be unique to this South Street branch. Truly awful experiences both times. The third time I was there went fine.

I rented a car from my local Enterprise (3 hours away) for a work training class in Raleigh. One day in, the rental started acting up and was failing to drive. So I found the nearest location to where I was (406 W South St, Raleigh) and went in asking for help. The salesperson on duty ALEX said "I can't help you, you will have to call roadside service and maybe they can take you to the airport and change cars". I replied, "I do not know this area or where the airport is". I told him "that I don't feel safe driving this car and that I needed help". He said: "I have a few cars in stock but I don't want to switch it out for a broken car". I asked if he could call another local dealership and he said no. He just wrote the phone number down. Then I had to ask him for the roadside assistance number. He wrote it down then ignored me. I felt just pushed away and not important. As a manager, my employees' actions are a direct reflection of my leadership. I went to the next closest Enterprise at (3600 S Wilmington St, Raleigh) and an associate named Jack kindly checked the car and switched it out with no problems. I felt better, safer and important. I hope the manager reflects on this and trains his associates to care and help. I will never go back to this location and I do not recommend. Very frustrating and bummed out about the way I was treated. I will be reporting this to Enterprise at the highest level. People/Customers should not have to be made to feel like this!
