Mar 01, 2025 · Carlos F VilchezHad a fantastic experience at the Enterprise location on Figueroa Street in LA. The service was fast, friendly, and super efficient. Brett, the manager, was especially helpful—professional, welcoming, and clearly committed to making sure everything went smoothly. The vehicle was clean and in great condition, and the whole rental process was straightforward and stress-free. It’s not often you leave a car rental spot feeling genuinely impressed, but this team delivered. Big shoutout to Brett and his crew—definitely my go-to location from now on.
Apr 22, 2025 · Reza KhalighiI don’t normally leave reviews, but my recent experience at Enterprise with an employee named Brett E. Porter was so outrageously unprofessional that I feel compelled to share in detail to warn others and hopefully get some accountability from Enterprise.I made a reservation for a rental car with full rental car insurance, and my reservation number was 8VGZSW. When I originally booked the reservation through an Enterprise agent, I was very clear about using my rental insurance. The representative assured me that I would only need to pay a refundable security deposit — estimated at around $150 — and that the rest of the charges would be billed directly to my insurance. This was made very clear to me, and I confirmed it more than once before finalizing the reservation. However, when I arrived at the location to pick up my vehicle, I was assisted by Brett E. Porter, and the entire experience quickly went downhill. Instead of honoring the terms I was promised, he demanded that I pay the full rental amount up front out of my own pocket, and only after that would they “go through insurance.” This directly contradicts what I was told during the booking process and felt like a bait-and-switch tactic. When I calmly tried to explain the situation and referenced the instructions from the agent I had originally spoken with, Brett refused to listen to me. He cut me off repeatedly, spoke over me, and acted as if I was trying to scam the company — when all I was doing was trying to follow the exact process Enterprise themselves had laid out.To make matters worse, his attitude was shockingly rude and dismissive. I’ve never encountered someone working in customer service who was so condescending, unhelpful, and downright unprofessional. At one point, it felt like he was doing everything he could to provoke an argument rather than resolve the issue. Instead of offering solutions or clarifying misunderstandings, he chose to escalate the situation by being completely disrespectful and flat-out refusing to help.Let’s be very clear here: Brett E. Porter was not only unwilling to accommodate a customer who followed all proper procedures — he was also completely untrained in how to handle insurance-based rentals, something you would expect an Enterprise employee to be very familiar with. His ignorance on this matter led to my reservation being unfulfilled, leaving me stranded and scrambling for an alternative at the last minute, all because he refused to release the vehicle without full upfront payment, which should NOT have been required under my insurance agreement. This type of negligence, arrogance, and disregard for customer service is absolutely unacceptable, especially from a national brand like Enterprise. I wasted time, effort, and experienced enormous frustration — all of which could have been avoided if Brett had been properly trained or simply taken the time to listen.I strongly urge Enterprise to review this location’s practices, retrain staff on how to handle insurance-covered rentals, and especially evaluate Brett E. Porter’s conduct and qualifications for working in a customer-facing role. If I could give zero stars, I would.Until this matter is addressed, I will be warning friends, family, and colleagues to avoid this location — and potentially Enterprise as a whole — due to this deeply unpleasant and stressful experience.
Jul 06, 2025 · Barkın KoçUnfortunately, Enterprise is trying to scam me for damages that were already there. Fortunately, I took pictures and videos before picking up my rental. I told them the bumper had a big cut on the right front side. They told me it was already noted on their file, that it was already marked as damage on their side. I was able to take the car with no problems. Once I return the rental. They told me everything was fine and I got my deposit back.2 weeks later, I got a letter stating I was responsible for the front bumper damages. Clearly, I had told them when I pick up the rental. The damages were already there, and I have photos and a recording that the damages were already there before I took out the car from their parking space. I spoke with BRETT PORTER one of the managers. He told me there's nothing he can do, and he did not even want to see the evidence that I had. Please take your business elsewhere, this location is a scam!!!Especially BRETT PORTERMake sure to record your rental once you pick it up and once you return it.
Feb 20, 2025 · Enrique SalazarLet me be blunt: this is the absolute WORST Enterprise location I’ve ever dealt with in over six years of loyal renting. We reserved a full-size SUV TWO DAYS before pickup. Plenty of time for them to have it ready. We showed up, and the staff greeted us with a lazy, unprofessional “What’s up?” — seriously? That’s how you start off with paying customers? Then the real nightmare began. They casually informed us they didn’t have our reserved vehicle and tried to push us into a smaller car — for a family of SIX, plus luggage, plus a dog. I told them that was impossible. Our reservation was made 48 hours in advance. There’s NO excuse for this level of incompetence.Instead of fixing the issue, the staff member shrugged it off and said he might call me if another SUV came in, but there were no guarantees. He claimed our reservation “didn’t matter” because it wasn’t in their system. Are you kidding me?! And when I asked him to check other locations for our vehicle, he flat-out REFUSED — even though customer service told us that’s exactly what they’re supposed to do.Finally, the manager stepped in — and only made things worse. His “solution” was to shove us into a 12-seater high-top cargo van and call it an “accommodation.” That’s absurd. We’d have been stuck paying ridiculous extra fees to park that monster while traveling. When we explained this wasn’t feasible, the manager copped an attitude, became downright rude, and basically shoved us out the door, saying he’d “call us if anything came up.”Guess what? He never called. We had to call Enterprise customer service ourselves, and only after escalating the issue to the district manager did anything happen. Magically, this location “found” our SUV all of a sudden — but instead of giving it to us there, they sent us 35 miles away to the Long Beach location.THANK GOD for the Long Beach Enterprise at 2750 Cherry Boulevard. They were polite, professional, and actually cared about solving the problem. They restored my faith in Enterprise as a company.BOTTOM LINE:🚫 DO NOT GO to Downtown Los Angeles Enterprise. The staff is rude, incompetent, and downright disrespectful. They don’t care about honoring reservations, helping customers, or doing their jobs properly. This location is TRASH and almost drove us to leave Enterprise entirely after six-plus years of loyal business.✅ Go to the Long Beach Enterprise or ANY OTHER LOCATION. Save yourself the frustration, wasted time, and the utter disrespect we experienced. Downtown LA Enterprise is a disaster — avoid it like the plague.Special, thank you to the district manager for this location and the Long Beach location
