Waited in line, the employee at the counter tried to charge us $100 more for another car. We asked why the cost was different- she said because the reservation was made in the last few days, and because we were in a different time zone when the reservation was made. She had us try the app again, once each. Then gave us the same price we were quoted. We left and the whole car shaking on the highway. We stopped after a few minutes to eat and inspected the car in the sunlight. I found the front tires were worn to the point there were two rows of nylon cords and some steel belts coming through on the inside. I called Hertz and waited on hold for over 30 minutes before hanging up. We went to the closest Hertz, but the location didn’t exist. We went to the next closest location and the manager said he doubted it was the tires causing the vibration, they would not have given us an unsafe vehicle, but we could go back to ATL if it was a comfort issue. The vibration got worse on our trip, so we stopped at another location in Destin. This location said they had no cars. Went to two other locations in Destin that were on Google but didn’t exist. My wife used the app and was told all kinds of things, including to drive back to Georgia, but ultimately to call Hertz roadside assistance. I called roadside assistance, they tried to contact the local branch but reported that no one answered. They offered a tow truck. They said they would provide a voucher to replace the tires. Settled on going to an approved shop, got two new tires. Asked roadside about credit for our time and overall negative experience- he said he didn’t work in billing at all. Vibration was completely eliminated with new tires. Asked about it on drop off and employee said he would get his manager. I waited for 15 minutes and she never came out. He said he’d have her call me, but i never got a call from anyone.

I filled it up at the gas station near the airport 10 minutes before arriving. I get through security and I see my receipt and I was charged 24 gallons at 10/gallon. (I have receipt). I immediately call customer service and after many go backs they gave full refund. Fast forward to yesterday, I returned a similar truck. This time, when I picked up the truck it was on 83%. I told the lady this and it was marked as 83% on my receipt. Cool. When I return, I had it at 83 % which is the first hash mark. I get my receipt 30 minutes later and I was charged 3 gallons ???? Is this a lack of training on your staff or just plain fraud. I am currently waiting to talk to corporate. Once, maybe it was an oversight, but two times in a row at the same location isn’t a coincidence

They also gave us a car in a very dirty condition and there were damaged parts of the interior. This is the strangest service I have ever encountered!
