The first time I left $100 worth of paint I'm the vehicle and called SAME DAY to let them know so I could come get it and they said they would check and when I called the next morning they said the vehicle had been rented out so they couldn't check. Do you not clean the whole vehicle between rentals or did someone really just wanna keep my paint that bad? 2nd time the car smelt absolutely awful, ran terribly, ac barely worked and when I contacted them for a copy of my rental agreement they were completely unhelpful and acted as if unless I come in to grab it I won't be able to get a copy. I live 3 hours away. I am not making a 6 hour round-trip for a piece of paper!

Worst experience and customer service I’ve ever received renting a car.1) didn’t have any cars in the vehicle class I reserved and prepaid for a week prior and acted like the smaller class was the same size but it was half the size I needed.2) ONLY option was to accept the smaller car and exchange it at the OC airport if I wasn’t happy. No! a refund for the difference in the smaller class size wasn’t an option.3) Don’t fall for the fuel prepay gimmick. I told her I didn’t want it since I wasn’t going to use that much gas. She wouldn’t drop it so I asked if I would only be charged for the gas I used and she said yes only what I used. Well, I found out that’s not how it works when I dropped it off. It’s impossible to credit it back to me even though I returned the final car with a full tank. She blatantly lied to me and when I personally went back to the store, she wasn’t there and I was told that since no one witnessed it that it was my word against hers so really nothing they could do. So!, in other words, I’m the customer and a liar and they sheisted me out of $70.4) We finally get out to the car I’m going to take to the airport and she’s walking around it with her ipad and passes right over a busted out brakelight. I asked her if she saw it and she says no, then oh! You can’t rent this car. (So, would if I did?, would they pin that damage on me?)5) She ended up giving me another car which I took to the airport and exchanged for the vehicle class they should have had to begin with. So now nearly and hour at this location dealing with pathetic service, I’ve got to drive to John Wayne Airport to get the larger class car I pre/paid for. (which ended up taking another hour BTW)I used to have a good impression of Hertz but now that’s completely gone. This location obviously performs this way on a regular basis judging by the horrible customer service provided and the only way that happens is when the culture is allowing it. Luckily, there are plenty of other car rental options out there.

You can’t tell from the before pictures if it was there before! I am hoping they will resolve this for me and I won’t have to deal with any of this! The lack of customer service is abhorrent! I have tried to call several times but I’m just put on hold for 30 mins at a time! I will also be expecting my full deposit back

I chose Hertz over enterprise and regret it. I'll be sharing my nightmare experience online by review and with everyone i know, to STAY AWAY from hertz and warn them about how shady and crooks ya'll can be. I can say I would never had to go through what I did here at enterprise. There is shady business going on at the Costa Mesa, Ca location. I was side swiped by another car just hours after getting the rental due to being in a car accident earlier that day. I Called Hertz line to report crash, provided info and incident report, the report was taken properly over the phone? Went back the following day to exchange the truck at Costa mesa location where they also wrote their own report. I gave MARCELINO RAMOS detailed information about what happend, the other drivers info and this Crook simply put what he wanted to put on the report and not the facts as to frame me for an accident that was not my fault. I provided other drivers insurance info and this idiot put there were "No" other drivers involved and put the statement "driver side scraped and wrecked from front to back" again to make it look like I was at fault, he put the wrong time that it happend as well, nothing on this report was correct but Marcelino's own version. I will dispute any charges with my bank associated to any damages not caused by me and get a lawyer involved for this FRAUD Marcelino is trying to pull.
