They assigned you a vehicle before you even get there to choose from. I returned the vehicle earlier than the agreement stated overnight while the office was closed. Left my firearm behind inside the locked vehicle, waiting for them to open in the morning. Before they even opened up, I got a call from the police department about it. Still no call from the Hertz office about my firearm being left in the vehicle. Tried calling but was put on hold for 30 minutes, then hung up on. My agreement contract was closed out at 7:50 a.m., but on the receipt, it says 11:30 am today. Still had time to go pick it up before they called the police on me. Never again... Hertz needs to drop this facility.

May 15, 2025 · Jackqueline DavisI really hate to even have to sit down and write this BUT i'm left with no choice.This HERTZ has been a 5 star experience for the US until today. I have rented from here several times and last week I praised them on how they are my favorite location and always take care of us. Today that has changed. We rented a truck last weekend on 6/6 and returned on 6/9. I used a major credit card which held a $300 deposit. Today on 6/13 we went back to the location to get another truck for the weekend. I used the same card which is our rental card and it was declined. No worries, I stated I would call the bank and just used another major card. We got the rental which had absolutely no gas in it and headed to gas up. While gassing up I contacted my bank to see what was going on. They told me they have a charge that is NOT pending for $538 from the rental. Which means the deposit had not cleared yet.The bank suggested I DISPUTE which I immediately said NO because i owe them $238, I just want the deposit placed back. Hertz stated that the deposit was placed back on 6/9.So i contacted HERTZ back to double check and a young man answered the phone. I told him what the bank stated to me and asked if I could get a reference or receipt to give to the bank. The young man emailed me the receipt at my request. I then proceeded and asked him " what should I do because I just wanna clear the $300." The young man stated "well there's nothing we can do you will have to take that up with your bank " I stated: " yes I will call the bank again But it sucks because I don't have access to my funds after service has been done so I don't really know what to do here" He then stated: IT IS WHAT IT IS" I proceed to explain further and asked If i could have his name for reference if I called back and he stated " I'M NOT GIVING YOU MY NAME, TAKE IT UP WITH YOUR BANK, and HUNG UP ON ME. "Remind you that we just left the location and were next door at the gas station filling up an empty tank.So we drove right back over because the DISRESPECT to speak to a customer that is asking for help to retrieve "THEIR MONEY" was beyond my understanding. Upon pulling up to the location the young man was standing outside the building VISIBLE smoking a cigarette.I approached him and stated, " when you're done smoking I would like to speak with you regarding our phone call."He stated, " I didn't talk to you."Remind you they are short staffed today so it was Just the MANAGER (older guy with glasses) and the agent ( younger guy with short blonde hair).I stated, Oh , it was YOU. WHY???? I asked him why was he so rude and disrespectful and was I being that way towards Him?He stated: "If you gonna dispute do it."I stated, : again I'm not trying to dispute that's what I've been trying to explain. The bank is saying that. I know the charge is VALID.He stated again " I told you IT IS WHAT IT IS and BLEW HIS CIGARETTE smoke my way".This is when my HUSBAND walks up as He is listening this whole time and watching this Young guy be disrespectful, condescending and total lack of customer towards me.I proceed to go speak with the MANAGER.The MANAGER looks annoyed at what I'm saying and prints the receipt to show the deposit and states that it can take up to 5 days.OK now we're getting somewhere if it takes time then just say that.The MANAGER never apologizes, NEVER addressed my concern and never states " hey sorry for this situation we will handle it".The agent is still outside smoking, hanging in the garage when words were swapped between him and my husband.Agent at this point is laughing and taunting and things get pretty heated.S/O to my husband because he doesn't PLAY about HIS WIFE.This could have all been avoided but every ACTION will get a REACTION. You cant tell folks how to REACT based off of your treatment. Very DISAAPOINTED in this location as they were top tier.
