When I arrived at the counter, I was told that the car they had available was a brand new vehicle, fresh off the lot. What I got was a clunker with 36,000 miles on it! Are you kidding me? That's not a new car, it's a pre-owned vehicle that's been around the block multiple times.To make matters worse, the car was dirty and looked like it hadn't been properly cleaned in weeks. I was appalled by the state of the vehicle and couldn't believe that Hertz would consider renting it out to customers. It's clear that they don't care about providing a decent product to their customers.But the real kicker was when the agent tried to sell us insurance on the vehicle. We explicitly declined coverage because we already have our own insurance that covers the rental amount in case of any damage or theft. However, the agent refused to book us unless we purchased their insurance package for $60. This is highway robbery! They're trying to take advantage of unsuspecting customers by selling them unnecessary insurance.I'm shocked and disgusted by the lies and deceit at Hertz Fountain Blue.
