I've had some bad experiences in the past with Hertz, but this time it was flawless.I am a Gold member, so I was able to check in online and go straight to the lot to pick a car.The pickins were slim in the Gold section (mostly compacts), but I was able to get a wonderful Kia Soul that met all of our needs for space. It was also quiet, comfortable, and amazingly fuel efficient.Returning it was equally easy - I just pulled it into the return line and left the keys.

When we showed up at the front desk the person seemed like she was bothered to check us in. When we asked where we needed to go to pick up the car she said in a disrespectful tone "outside". I would not recommend Hertz in Las Vegas to anybody if customer service is important to you. The car was clean and well kept. A check in process overall was quick. Those are the only good things I have to say.

The staff proved to be incompetent, and the reservation system was not functioning properly. Despite having made a reservation and paid in full online, we were denied the vehicle upon arrival without any clear explanation. Additionally, there was a serious issue with the refund process – and to make matters worse, $1000 was charged to our account for unclear reasons. The behavior of the staff was unprofessional, and the entire situation left us without transportation. I strongly advise against using this rental company’s services.

The agent, Hope, asked if I wanted insurance and if my husband would also be driving. I answered all her questions, completed the checkout, and walked away from the counter thinking everything was handled.Then, out of nowhere, Hope comes running up after the fact saying I owed more money if my husband was going to be a driver. Instead of being upfront, she waited until after the checkout to spring this on me. At that point, I decided to just cancel the reservation altogether. Hope told me I’d have to do it myself, then the manager stepped in and said she would cancel and issue the refund. Fine. But when I asked for any kind of proof or documentation of the refund, they told me they couldn’t provide anything. That’s ridiculous and extremely concerning.I went back to the counter to follow up, and Hope was gone. A new agent, Maria, had taken over. She seemed — irritated, dismissive, and acting like I was bothering her for simply following up on my own money. She had literally just started her shift and already came across rude and impatient.This was hands down one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. Between Hope’s not listening, Maria’s nasty attitude, and the lack of accountability or documentation from management, I would strongly recommend avoiding this Hertz location at all costs. They have a lot of work to do when it comes to basic customer service.
