Miami Life Cars Introduce
For residents and visitors in Florida, especially in the bustling metropolitan area of Miami, selecting a car rental service is a fundamental step in navigating the region. Miami, with its vibrant culture and diverse attractions, often necessitates personal transportation for a full experience. Miami Life Cars, located at 4111 NW 27th St, Miami, FL 33142, USA, is one of the various car rental options near Miami International Airport (MIA). However, it is crucial for prospective renters to approach this choice with a comprehensive understanding of what to expect, particularly based on publicly available customer experiences. This article aims to provide factual information about Miami Life Cars, incorporating direct feedback from customers to offer a realistic perspective for those seeking car rental services in Florida.
The freedom to explore Florida's vast offerings, from its beautiful beaches to its unique cultural enclaves, relies heavily on reliable transportation. For locals, a rental car might be a temporary necessity when their personal vehicle is unavailable, or when accommodating out-of-town guests. For tourists, a rental is often the primary means of moving between destinations. The importance of a smooth and transparent rental experience cannot be overstated, as unexpected issues can significantly impact travel plans and finances. Therefore, understanding the operational nuances and customer service record of a car rental provider like Miami Life Cars is essential for any Floridian making a rental decision.
Miami Life Cars is located at 4111 NW 27th St, Miami, FL 33142, USA. This places the company in the vicinity of Miami International Airport (MIA). It is important to note that Miami Life Cars is an off-airport car rental location. This means it is not situated within the primary MIA Rental Car Center, which houses many of the larger, more recognized car rental brands.
Accessing Miami Life Cars from Miami International Airport typically involves an additional step. Travelers usually take the MIA Mover (an automated train) from the airport terminals to the Rental Car Center. From there, customers would then need to connect with a shuttle service provided by Miami Life Cars or an affiliated service to be transported to their off-site office. Customer reviews indicate challenges with this pickup process, with reports of difficulties contacting the company for shuttle instructions and long wait times. The physical location itself has been described by some customers as an "old rundown yard" or a "kiosk in the corner of a parking lot of another rental car," rather than a traditional rental facility. For local users, while the address is accessible by Miami's road network, the off-airport nature and reported difficulties with the pickup process should be carefully considered when planning.
Based on general car rental industry practices and the fragmented public information available, Miami Life Cars generally offers a range of vehicles, though the actual condition and availability can vary significantly according to customer feedback. Typical services that a car rental company, even a smaller one, would aim to provide include:
- Vehicle Availability: Miami Life Cars purports to offer a selection of vehicles, including economy, intermediate, standard, SUVs, and other types, aiming to cater to various passenger and luggage requirements. However, customer reviews frequently mention issues with vehicle availability, with customers arriving to find that the specific car type they booked was not available.
- Online Booking: Reservations can typically be made online through various booking platforms that list Miami Life Cars.
- Insurance Options: Like all rental companies, Miami Life Cars would offer various optional insurance products for purchase at the counter, such as Collision Damage Waiver. However, customer experiences indicate significant issues regarding mandatory insurance purchases and non-acceptance of external insurance.
- Airport Pick-up: While off-airport, the company generally advertises airport pick-up, which involves a shuttle service from MIA to their location. However, reviews indicate this service is often problematic, with long waits and difficulties in communication.
- Customer Support: A phone number is provided for contact, aiming to offer support for bookings and issues during the rental period. However, customer reviews report severe difficulties in reaching responsive customer service, with calls going unanswered or staff being unhelpful and aggressive.
Based on extensive customer reviews, Miami Life Cars presents a highly contentious set of features and highlights, with a significant disparity between advertised service and actual customer experience.
Reported Positive Aspects (limited, or from specific sources):
- Initial Low Prices: Some customers might be initially attracted by what appear to be lower rates advertised online, which can be a draw for budget-conscious travelers.
Significant Reported Challenges and Negative Highlights:
- Vehicle Condition and Reliability: A major concern raised repeatedly is the poor condition of vehicles. Customers report cars that are "old and rundown," with engine lights on, bald tires, bad smells, and stains. Multiple instances of cars breaking down during the rental period are cited.
- Deceptive Practices and Hidden Fees: Numerous reviews allege "scam" behavior, including:
- "Strong-arming" customers into purchasing their expensive insurance, even when customers have their own coverage (e.g., personal auto insurance, AMEX Platinum). Customers state this is not disclosed online.
- Bait-and-switch tactics where the booked car is unavailable, and a different, often inferior, vehicle is provided.
- Demanding cash payments for alleged "reopening" fees for late flights or for tow services without prior arrangement or transparency.
- Refusal to refund money for unused rental periods or services not rendered.
- Extremely Poor Customer Service: This is a predominant negative highlight. Customers describe staff as having "the biggest attitude," yelling, hanging up the phone, being aggressive, and failing to provide assistance when cars break down. Repeated attempts to contact management are reportedly met with no response.
- Difficult Pick-up Process: Despite being near the airport, customers report non-working phone numbers for pick-up, long wait times for shuttles, and a disorganized, unprofessional pick-up experience, sometimes taking hours.
- Questionable Business Operations: Some customers question if it's a "real company," describing the setup as "a group of men who hang around by the airport doors trying to get customers" and driving them to an "old rundown yard." The lack of traditional rental facilities (e.g., a "kiosk in the corner of a parking lot") contributes to this perception.
- Safety Concerns: Reports of vehicles with bald tires and cars breaking down raise significant safety concerns for renters.
Given the overwhelmingly negative customer feedback and serious allegations, it is difficult to provide standard contact information with the assurance that customers will receive a professional and helpful response. However, based on the provided data:
Address: 4111 NW 27th St, Miami, FL 33142, USA
Phone: (786) 804-1961
Mobile Phone: +1 786-804-1961
Operating Hours: (Based on general public information, some sources indicate hours like 08:00 - 23:00 daily, but reliability of these hours for actual service is questioned by reviews.)
Email: (Some sources list miamilifecars@gmail.com, but customer reviews suggest emails may go unanswered.)
For locals in Florida, especially those in the Miami area, Miami Life Cars is overwhelmingly unsuitable as a car rental option, based on the consistent and severe negative feedback from numerous customers. While the lure of potentially "slightly cheaper" initial rates might be tempting, the extensive documented experiences of mechanical breakdowns, aggressive customer service, alleged deceptive practices regarding insurance and fees, and difficulties with refunds suggest that choosing Miami Life Cars is highly likely to end up "costing us a lot more in the long run" – in terms of both money and extreme aggravation.
For Floridians, who rely on reliable transportation for daily life, work, and leisure, the risks associated with Miami Life Cars appear to far outweigh any perceived savings. The reports of unsafe vehicle conditions, being stranded, and being forced into unwanted payments are serious concerns that should prompt local users to avoid this provider. As advised by customers themselves, "Save yourself the headache with these SCAMMERS" and "Do not go here, this place needs reporting and looking into because they are definitely a big scam." For a professional, safe, and transparent car rental experience in Florida, locals are strongly encouraged to utilize "proper professional company's" found within the actual airport or at reputable neighborhood branches, even if the initial cost seems slightly higher, as this typically ensures peace of mind and reliable service.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I would give them 0 stars if I could. DO NOT book with them. I rented a car for 4 days and on day two it broke down. I called over 20 times to get help and no one answered. Then, a “lady” answered and had the biggest attitude. She didn’t even let me explain what was going on and put me on hold for more than 30 minutes. I call again and tell her I’m stranded and she yells at me telling me I have to pay for a tow truck through a link. Then puts me on hold again. She comes back after 20 minutes screaming asking if I paid. I told her that no I didn’t get any link and she hangs up on me. I end up calling a tow truck myself and towing it to the shop. The workers there start yelling saying the car was fine when it left. What could I possibly have done to a car for it to stop running, no damage no nothing. I’ve been calling them and all they tell me is to call the manager and when I call at the time they tell me they don’t answer. I called on Saturday and they said to email and it’s been two weeks since that last email and nothing!!! I lost the money I paid for all those days I was supposed to have the car, plus I paid for the tolls package AND I had to pay for the tow truck on a car that wasn’t even mine!!!! Save yourself the headache with these SCAMMERS.
Jun 24, 2025 · Nancy floresDo not rent a car from here!! Awful service, awful car. We rented a car for 2 weeks, unfortunately we didn't read the reviews beforehand. This cant possibly be a real company, they are a group of men who hang around by the airport doors trying to get customers looking for hire cars. Then they drive you out the airport to an old rundown yard. We didn't see the car until after we paid and unfortunately we're quite nieve. This is the worst car I have ever rented, it was old and had the engine light on, the paperwork did not match up to the details of the car. The car broke down after 1week!! We rang this so called company assuming they would help, they didn't help at all, they kept hanging up the phone, they were very aggressive on the phone and demanded we pay 700$ through a link that was sent to us for a tow company, without telling us anything about the tow company or even a time they would come pick us up. Massive scam! After waiting around for over an hour and these people still hadn't confirmed a tow company was actually coming for us we had to sort this problem out ourselves and the abuse we received from them on the phone was ridiculous!! Shouting "we are charging you for a tow company anyway!" I can't believe how awful these people are!! Please don't go here, this place needs reporting and looking into because they are definitely a big scam. We felt frightened taking the rental car back to them after the way they spoke to us and we didn't receive a refund for the second week we booked. We lost hundreds of dollas. There's some amazing rental company's in the actual airport and some do accept debit cards and are proper professional company's. Do not go here! We only went here because it was slightly cheaper and it ended up costing us a lot more in the long run, don't waste your time, use a proper company!
Apr 26, 2025 · ZoeFirst off, they told me 15 minutes they’ll be there at the airport to pick me up at bus stop 4. It was 1 hour later when they finally pick me up, tried calling them three times but they weren’t answering the phone even. I see him leaving from bus stop 2 when he tells me be at bus stop 4. He came to pick someone else close by to me that I seen just waiting 10 minutes at bus stop 2. I stopped him as he was leaving, but he said he had no more room and will come right back. Next after he brings me to the office, he proceeded to take care of me right away with starting the paperwork. Prepaid online for the car and charged another $105 in other fees. Did not say online there’s any more costs unless you wanted the insurance and toll pass. Tried talking me into buying the toll pass for 10-15 minutes, which would cost about $50/3 days. Had to deposit $500 because I didn’t take it. And also had to deposit $2500 more because I didn’t buy their insurance and used my own insurance. Got a 2017 Chevy Cruze that had some issues. Given to me with just a 1/16 tank of gas. See picks. Did not accelerate and run properly after the air conditioner stopped working the 2nd day in 91 degree weather. Engine made a noise after the air stopped working and had an abnormal idle and hesitations. There was no sun visor on the driver side. Outside of the steering wheel was nearly all peeled off. The mirrors would not work when trying to adjust and had to go outside to adjust them. The seats had lots of stains in them that appeared would not come off. Rims had many knicks and the body had knicks and scrapes in places but had no dents. Plastic hanging down on the underside of car. I took 34 pics of the car because of all the issues with the car. And worst of all it took about 2 3/4 hours from the time I waited for them at the airport to the time I left their lot with the rental car.
Sep 27, 2023 · Orrin HI rented a car from Miami Life Cars for my trip to Miami, and my experience was extremely disappointing. The 2019 Kia Forte I received had a dead battery and a broken AC, which is unacceptable in Florida’s heat. The battery completely died on Saturday night, and when I contacted the rental company Sunday morning, they told me to bring the car back. However, I had to wait 4-5 hours for AAA to jump-start the car because they claimed they were trying to find a tow truck for 3 hours but couldn’t.When I finally returned the car, I was given a replacement, and I asked for compensation for the lost time and inconvenience. I was told their manager would contact me on Monday, but no one ever reached out. When I returned the car on Monday night, I was again promised that someone would contact me on Tuesday—but I still never heard back. The lack of professionalism, poor communication, and failure to take responsibility for a faulty rental vehicle made this a terrible experience. I do not recommend this company, and I strongly advise others to rent elsewhere if they want a hassle-free trip.
Mar 19, 2025 · Gandhi PrevalA complete SCAM and JOKE of a company! Do not go to these people you will be ripped off Not not helped at all if your car breaks down. Hired a car for two weeks and after the first week we broke down and received no help for the company who tried charging $700 to be towed back and after we got another tow guy to come help us with the battery, the company wouldn’t answer messaged or answer the phone to see if we were ok. Absolutely no help and aggressive over the phone threating to charge us more for getting another tow company?! The worst hire car company i’ve ever been to. Just shows to read reviews before trusting them
