This was by far the worst car rental experience I have ever had and I don’t typically care about car rental companies. First, when we got to the counter wait was long (which is normal). But they gave me a car with a half empty tank. It took them 20 minutes to fill the tank. Then, I drove to my hotel and discovered most of the tires were almost COMPLETELY BALD. It was raining in Atlanta and it became unsafe to drive an SUV with bald tires. I called the rental company to ask them to service the car and they wanted me to drive an hour and some change back to the airport to exchange the car. I asked for roadside assistance for at least 1 tire and they wanted me to pay out of pocket. We just left the car parked until it was time to return to the airport. We returned the car and no one was around to give us a receipt (which is normal). But I get back home and I see a $195 charge for a rental that I never agreed to. The online receipt showed a gas option I declined and charges for additional days even though I turned the car in on time. I’ve called customer service and they didn’t answer, so I’ll keep pursuing this, but the price is not worth all the time I spent rectifying issues. I would not recommend renting with them AT ALL, especially when safety is an issue.

I wish I had read the reviews about Payless Car Rental before I used them for my trip to Atlanta. They are scams! I just looked at several reviews and it seems they have a reputation for charging customers for services they didn't request. This is what happened to me. I was charged an additional $97 for insurance coverage even though I had paid it upfront with my reservations through Priceline. When I called to voice my concerns, the agent told me that I have to speak with Priceline. Now, Priceline is telling me they have to open a 5-day investigation to look into the situation. Please make sure you stay on top of your reservations and charges with this company. This was my first time using them and will not use them again!

Well the only thing I have to say is don't bother calling the customer service line due to you can't understand anyone, they never have any information unless you make them find it their selves and never informed me of the $200.00 deposit when reserving the vehicle got that surprise at the counter. I returned my car with less than 1/4 of gas missing due to no gas station near the airport grounds and they charged me $108.63 for it. I requested a manager in which he called back the next day with no kind of empathy what so ever and disregarded anything I had to say regarding my poor customer service. Wish I would have checked that they had a 2.2 rating definitely would have stuck with Alamo. Stay far away from a place who just cares about the money and no regards for the customer.

Appt was early at 8am had 1 person in front of me. I spoke to Joy at Hartsfield and she wasfriendly BUT…MAKE SURE YOU LOOK AT YOUR RECEIPT BEFORE YOU LEAVE. I WAS CHARGED 26.99 A DAY FOR A LOSS DAMAGE WAIVER I NEVER ACCEPTED. I HAD 3RD PARTY INSURANCE THROUGH PRICELINE.I talked to an agent on the phone who said I would be refunded but he LIED. I did a charge back and this company LIED and said it’s money I owed.NEGATIVE: The van we got was a bit dirty. It had orange mud on the step so cleaning isn’t something they are good at.

I was given a nice car to drive. Customer service to rent the car was good. Going to the garage to get the car and the workers were not so helpful. Now that I see how it works to rent a vehicle at the atl airport, I will be better prepared next time
