This is super convenient for anyone traveling from the Denver Airport directly to the downtown area via the RTD Train Line like I did. You don't have to deal with all the waiting and hassling from rental companies in the airport.When I arrived at the office to start my pickup, I was greeted by a super friendly staff. My representative, Alyssa, was super helpful and transparent about the process. Alyssa even provided some recommendations of places to eat or areas to explore during my stay when I asked. It was a great welcome to the city of Denver.The pickup location is another block away from the office, but its super easy to find and access. I quickly got my rental care from the pickup garage and was on my way. The quality of the vehicle really impressed me to. I was given a nearly brand new Buick Envision with less than 2,500 miles on it. It was luxurious and also had tons of safety features.The return process was just as simple as the pickup, but during the return you don't even need to go back to the office! You just drive to the same garage where you picked up the car, park in the designated return spot, and return the keys via a lockbox in the garage.Overall this was an awesome experience. I expected to pay a lot more when originally looking at competitors, but SIXT has a great value and unique process for the modern age. Everything is streamlined and with less overhead it seems like they can give you a much better deal. I will certainly be using SIXT again in the future!
Jun 26, 2025 · Nick FatigatoUpdate: After leaving a review here and filling out a satisfaction survey, I was contacted by management, told that they updated their customer service agents and internal profile to let everyone know renters can return their car to any stall in the garage as long as they turn the key to the key return, and given a partial refund for what I experienced. This definitely made me feel better and I am glad the problem has been mitigated for future renters. I will definitely consider renting from them in the future now.Picking up my car was a pleasant and easy experience. However, drop off was very frustrating. I let the person who helped me with checking in that I would be returning the car that night. They told me that would be no problem and to just park the car in one of the labeled spots and return the key to the key return box. When I returned to the garage where I picked up my vehicle, all of the Sixt spots were taken and the only spots open said they were not for rental car return and that rental cars would be cited or towed. I called the customer service line and after a 30-40 minute call, I was told I needed to bring it back in the morning. I told them this was highly inconvenient because I had a flight in the morning and did not have time to return the car. On top of that, I was staying in downtown Denver so parking is scarce and if you can’t find street parking, you need to pay for garage parking, which is $35 at the cheapest. When I told the customer service agent this, they said unfortunately, me returning it in the morning was the only option and they could not guarantee compensation for any parking fees I may have to pay. I asked to speak to a supervisor because this was unacceptable and they said I’d receive a call back later. I never received a call or any follow up regarding my situation. I would highly suggest looking elsewhere to rent a car as their car return seems to be unreliable, especially if you are returning at night.

Unfortunately, mid trip we got into a hail storm which caused a crack in the windshield that just kept growing. After calling Sixt roadside assistance the guy just told us that they can‘t help us with that and that we should go to the next Toyota dealership to get it fixed ourselves, we‘d have to pay upfront and they would probably refund us our money. After having some trouble with this dealership because they kept delaying our appointment we luckily got our down payment of 1000 USD back from them and heard from someone that this is really weird from e rental car company because you can just call them and go switch out the car. A few days later we drove a few hours up to Albuquerqe and explained our situation to the agents at that Sixt branch. After lots of discussions and cars they tried to give us that were still full of trash or weren‘t serviced and displayed a warning they finally gave us a perfectly fine Camry again. As an excuse for our troubles they told us that we won‘t have to fill up the car and can return it with an empty gas tank. They even showed us that on their devices but sadly couldn’t confirm it via mail. 10 days later we returned this car in Denver and guess what? Even after asking the agents at that branch and them confirming that we were okay to return the car empty, they billed us for another 140 USD for the empty gas tank…We called Sixt multiple times, went to the Sixt branch in Las Vegas in person and filed a complaint online but they all just ignored us and we never got an answer.Thinking about this and that the entire rental of 38 days cost us almost 6000 USD rather than the 4000 USD they told us in the beginning we would never rent from Sixt ever again!We rented our next car from Thrifty now, they are 1/3 of the price of Sixt for an even bigger car and the people at the counter seemed like they would take us atleast seriously.Update 07/08/25: They reached out to us after we‘ve sent them a mail to the adress below and they told us we will get a refund. We haven‘t received the refund yet but got billed for another 113 USD without an invoice or any further info what this is for. Safe to say we paid for a loss damage waiver so it can‘t have anything to do with the car. We are starting to get really frustrated with this scam of a company and urge anyone to think twice before booking a car with them…

That small gesture already made a great impression.The young lady who helped us (I wish I remembered her name!) was so nice and gave us exceptional service. Since it was our first time visiting Denver, she surprised us with a wonderful upgrade that truly made our day.
