When I arrived, a representative named Aron provided excellent service and did everything within his ability, but he explained that only a manager could correct the issue.After hours of back-and-forth communication with customer service that day, I was advised to call back on Monday to speak with the branch manager. When I finally reached the manager later that afternoon, she told me to come in the next morning and assured me that everything would be taken care of.However, when I arrived on Tuesday, I again spent several hours at the branch with the manager, Jaime, only to be told that the only available option was to rent a different vehicle at double the price, even though the issue originated from Sixt’s system. I had no choice but to accept the rate for one night. I was also told that the issue would be resolved the next day, but as of today October 8th, that has not happened.I am still in a vehicle that I did not reserve, paying double the amount I normally pay. Additionally, my house key (a remote) was left on the previous rental key because I was not expecting to change vehicles. I contacted the manager this morning, and she confirmed that she still had the key and would call me back later today day after reviewing my account. I have yet to receive a call back.This entire situation has been extremely frustrating. I have spent excessive time and money trying to resolve an issue that stemmed from a system error outside of my control. Unfortunately, the car smelled strongly of marijuana from a previous renter and the check engine light was on.I called the next morning, 09/03/25, and spoke with Victor around 9 a.m. He assured me that a BMW 4 Series would be returned and available for me to exchange at 2 p.m.After inspecting the vehicle, Victor confirmed he can smell the odor. He also said the check engine light likely needs to be reset and that the vehicle is ok.When I arrived at 2:00 p.m., I was told the BMW was not available. Instead, I was offered another Volvo, but it was a station wagon. That is not comparable to the sedan I reserved, and certainly not the BMW I was told to expect.Victor explained that they were unable to reach the renter with the BMW, and that inventory was limited. He insisted that since I was offered a car in my reserved class, it was simply a “matter of preference” that I was dissatisfied. He also stated that SUVs and BMW 5 Series models would be considered upgrades, only available at a discount, not as a courtesy. He even suggested I take the station wagon and drive to another location (downtown or the airport) to check for options myself.As a platinum member who has used SIXT for my business rentals consistently over the past year, I found this very disappointing. I only came at 2 p.m. because Victor told me a BMW would be available. The fact that it was not, combined with the poor condition of the car I was given (odor and check engine light), should have warranted an upgrade as a basic gesture of customer service. I came in to return a vehicle and pick up a new rental, and Aaron, the attendant, made the entire process seamless. He was very accommodating—allowing us time to fully empty the vehicle, complete the new rental, and transfer all of our belongings without any rush.Aaron was also incredibly knowledgeable, which made the transaction smooth and efficient. Most importantly, he was respectful and courteous throughout the process, which I especially appreciated as I was with my pregnant wife and young child. Excellent customer service—thank you, Aaron!

Booked a SUV online and when I went to pick it up they asked for a bank statement to rent the car and that bank statement has to match my current state? I just here for a work trip??? And you require to me change my address to a city that I don’t live in so i can rent a car? Same thing happened to a gentleman in front of me; they wouldn’t give him a car because he has a debit card instead of a credit card. This place does not want to rent you a car. Just don’t waste your time!
