However, when I turned the car in the representative produced an invoice with the amount of the full price of the larger car, thank goodness I noticed. That person changed the rate and produced a new invoice with the correct amount, but when I received my credit card statement that put through the invoice with the higher amount. I called and told them about the, I hope error, and they claimed they had issued me a credit of the amount charged vs. the amount really owed. I asked them for a receipt of the refund and I tell you I have never had a company to tell me that they could not give me a receipt of the refund. I feel that it must be something not kosher. I will not use your service ever again.

I returned the vehicle a week later, staff noted some damage that wasn’t reflected in their paperwork. Using the photos I took at pick up, I identified the damage to the staff member as pre existing, the damage pre dated my rental. Staff acknowledged that the damage was present prior to my use and said they would update the vehicle information. A couple of days later I was hit with a bill for said damage. I completed the online complaint process with supporting photographic evidence that the damage was present at pick up, as well as a list of other issues. My claim was denied, the fine print states, I should have told them at the time of pick up and not when I returned the vehicle. I have been renting cars for 20 years and have never had an experience like this. Worst rental experience of my life, I will never rent from this company again and I will make sure others know about this as well.

Upon arrival, I was informed that the vehicle was not clean, and I was offered an upgrade. The representative stated the upgrade would cost an additional $65, which I agreed to.However, at no point was it explained that I would be charged $208 plus an additional $260—a total far beyond what I had anticipated. Had this been clearly communicated, I would have declined the offer, as anyone reasonably would.I strongly advise against accepting upgrade offers at the counter. Instead, if you’re interested in a different vehicle, cancel and rebook at the correct rate to avoid unexpected charges.

They said to put the spare on & drive to the closest sixt to exchange the vehicle. The closest one was 89 miles away & it was unsafe to drive that far on a donut tire. My sister, an additional driver on the vehicle went to a tire place for a patch, so I could drive it to Sixt to exchange it. They informed her that the tires were bald unsafe & illegal to drive. They called Sixt & were told that she would purchase tires & be reimbursed. She asked if it was guaranteed & they said yes. So she went ahead & did it. She was informed that they needed to speak to me, the main driver, before they could add the official note to the account. Customer service was awful & their phone number sent us to a wrong number 3 times. When we finally talked to someone she said she couldn’t guarantee the reimbursement because we didn’t purchase the insurance packet. Bald tires should have nothing to do with insurance.
