Upon arrival to pick up the BMW X5 I had rented online, I was informed that a Jeep Compass was prepared for me instead. This is a clear bait-and-switch tactic as a Jeep Compass is nowhere near comparable to a BMW. I had to pay an additional fee to get the BMW X5 that I originally reserved.To make matters worse, the BMW X5 had pre-existing damages which I documented with photographs. Despite this, Sixt is now attempting to charge me for these damages. The claim form I was required to fill out did not allow for detailed explanations, and despite receiving confirmation that my form and photos were submitted, I was later informed they had not been uploaded.Adding to my frustration, I discovered numerous complaints online about Sixt using similar tactics with false damage claims. This pattern of behavior is deeply concerning and unacceptable.I strongly advise against using Sixt due to their misleading practices and poor customer service. This experience has eroded my trust in their services, and I hope this review helps others avoid similar issues.

I needed to extend the rental car and try to do it when it was convenient for me (4 days before contract ended) because they make you go in person to extend the rental. I went 4 days before my contract ended because that was convenient for me. When I got there, My options were to end my rental contract and begin a new contract for the extra days I needed. OR, return on the day my contract ended and begin a new contract. Ending my current contract and beginning my new contractmeant I would be paying double for the car rental for 4 days. This is so grossly inconvenient and un customer service oriented. In other words, they would not let me sign a new contract to begin 4 days from the day I was there to renew. It's like they just want to screw around with you. They want your money and they want your time and the whole experience is nothing but a hassle. I would never recommend this company for a car rental.
