It was already late in the evening, I was tired and looking to quickly rent a car and move forward. Instead I was subject to insulting remarks from your customer service agent (Calvin) When checking in and handing over my credit card, Mr. Calvin asked me "How is that credit building card working for you? I looked around to see if he was talking to someone else but it was only the two of us at the counter. Not knowing what to say, I said that I guess it's okay. Why would he be asking me such a question? I said to Mr. Calvin that I've never heard my credit card described that way. He also wanted to know how many bags I was travelling with to make sure I was choosing the right size vehicle. I asked if this was a new line of questioning and that I am alone with one bag. Once we finished the on screen check-in, my credit card was swiped and checked "green" on the credit card machine which should have been good to go. However, Mr. Calvin stated that it declined, your company does not take credit building cards and asked if I had another credit card. I informed him that I have several credit cards but let me check on my phone to see if SIXT is showing on my statement because the credit card went through on my end. Mr. Calvin called over a supervisor, I showed her the pending charges on the same credit card that I used to hold the reservation as she unsuccessfully tried to assist. However, another customer walked in and I was asked to wait until she took care of the other customer. The bottom line was that the error was with the computer and I used the same credit card that Mr. Calvin said your company did not accept and it allegedly declined. The female supervisor saw me outside in the rain and I explained that I moved the vehicle up to put my luggage away and I could not inspect anything in the rain. She said that she understood and the company documents when it is raining and customers are unable to inspect the vehicle. I told her about my encounter with Mr. Calvin and she stated that he may have confused my credit card with a "chime" card. I told her that I do not know what a chime card is and her agent was disrespectful and insulting. The female supervisor asked that I overlook what Mr. Calvin said because he is "Autistic" Well, this is not something I need to know. Who SIXT chooses to hire is their business and if you choose to put someone in a customer service position that you know may insult your customers then you are just as much to blame as the employee. I have let everyone I know about this rude and insulting behavior that I encountered with your company. I was asked to scan a QR code for checking out the vehicle however, nothing is explained. I did not know what the mileage or gas was when checking out - I took a picture for my records - When dropping off, they take the car and say that information will be sent to you. I will be looking for a final bill to compare with my notes. This is awful!Well, I finally saw the final billing with the incorrect daily rental charge, a fee for refueling when I returned the car with more fuel than they gave me. Who is going to fix these charges?When I picked up the car 41,402 miles with 280 miles before needing to refuel. Jul 04, 2025 · Dee KnightStay away at all cost! Scammers.Family members are not included as included secondary drivers like they are at other companies. It didn't matter that I had aaa or Amex. So that extra per person per day fee (9 day rental) we didn't plan for was added onto a family trip. To give us a "better deal" (we should have just walked down the street to another company at this cost) they gave us an upgrade to the next size up and added just 1 extra driver in a bundle pack. So all the savings I got from going to them instead if competition, has already cost me an extra. Our upgrade went from a standard to a luxury bmw! We thought we were agreeing to a full size? Got the car and did my normal walk around to see no major damage, dents or anything that would not be considered normal wear. Mistake. Normal wear, minor scratches, any and every blemish you must document yourself, because they say it wasn't there. Inside had sticky jam on back seat, but I had wipes that fixed that. Then comes the return. Pull up and the guy dressed in an all black suit comes out and goes over the car with a fine tooth comb. All those little scratches that normal people call wear and tear, he called scratches down to the primer! He saw 3, (The 3rd in the bumper i buffed out right in front of him.) but documented 2 that he considered major blemishes, (because I couldn't rub those off without a cleaner) and said that "many other scratches" might be discovered after they wash the pollen off and I'll get a bill for all of those as well as these that we see now! WHAT! They can all just be buffed out. They are top coat deep only. So a used rental car needs to be returned show room new condition or you will be charged. And they have the right to add more after you drop off if they see more after they clean it. Or if they scratch it. This is how they scam you. How many thousands of dollars are they now going to claim in damages they see? The car was driven for only 2 days on the highway and sat parked the rest of the time. I am terrified now to see what final bill comes to me in a few days. See the pictures yourself. The first pic of bumper is color rub from the rubber of the suitcase, and the scratch in second pic is 2 inches long that your finger nail doesn't even go into. I have video of the whole car to prove drop off condition, and the lengthy harassing fine tooth comb drop off process. If you need to use this company, protect yourself before during and after. Take video before and after, and pray that no rocks or debris hits you while you drive.

I booked a BMW 3 and didn't have availability when I got there in the morning so they gave me a nice Toyota Camry and was told to come back at 1 to swap out. Got there at 1 vehicle was ready, the extremely nice manager can't remember her name but she was awesome and gave me a voucher for my troubles. Got ready to leave on my shuttle back to the airport which they provide as well. She ran the bus down and told them to stop because I had left some new clothes in the back seat. She was just awesome thanks again and I'm sorry I can't remember her name smh.
