I should not give 1 star, but thank goodness for their local employees telling me what to do with my horrible experience. Everyone told me to leave a review and do the surveys. Finally, the experience was corrected last week. Last month, I had to exchange my rental 3 times for my week rental. An oil leak (oil change light came on on a 2025) a leaky tire i filled with air twice but kept leaking, (and i paid for said air) and a check engine light on my last vehicle. Plus, I was charged a gas fee for the last car that I returned full. Highly disappointed that I had to work hard to find the correct person to rectify the horrible rental. No direct line to customer service tou have to go thru Roadside Assistance. No one reached out to me. Initially, when I called I was offered $100 towards a future rental. I stated that was not adequate. Asked for a supervisor told they were busy in a meeting but they could offer me $100 towards my closed out rental. I told them that I should not have to pay anythingbut half was reasonable. Apparently who i talked to did not have authority to give more than what was offered. I never heard from a supervisor. Finally I got a follow up call from customer service and they agreed to give me back half. The whole thing cost me a whole of stress and time. I will not rent from Thrifty/Hertz/Dollar.

I arrived 15 minutes earlier for my rental. There were two employees at the counter. The first one, pointed me to the other one. The second one, was rude from the time I said good morning. I was told to walk 3 miles ,with my breathing condition that they were told that I have. I wasn't happy with my automobile. So I was told to go back in and ask for a manager, another 3 miles. I did. I asked, and was told to walk back to the garage and look for one. I insisted, a manager come to me. Because of that, the lady began treating to call the police and cancel my automobile. While waiting for the manager, the woman doing all the treating, was talking about me loudly to other co workers. But i couldn't say a word she said. The police and the manager came. After listening to my conversation with the manager, the police left. The manager, had me walk 3 mile again. For a total of 9 miles ,with a breathing condition. They were all aware, and no one did anything. The manager told me if you speak to them above a whisper they can call the police on you. I made 2 complaint calls about my treatment requesting a regional call me back, That shows me ,that they don't care about there customers. I am still waiting weeks later. I will never rent a automobile from them again. And I would never recommend them to anyone. I have never been treated so poorly ,by a company in my life.

Very shady company. I reserved a car through Expedia for 5 passengers (clearly states that on my receipt )to be picked up at the Nashville Airport. After waiting in line at Thrifty, Jim was the clerk. Jim stated we booked a manager's special and proceeded to give us a two door car that would not hold luggage (one suitcase each) much less us. Mind you ..we all flew in and we are at an airport. He says I would have to pay an upgrade fee to have a bigger car. When I returned the car, I questioned this fee and was told by Carlton @ Hertz (who was extremely nice) that the charge was for roadside assistance. I did not ask for that or order that. I paid in full through Expedia. I have not been able to get this resolved. I've called and held on the phone several times for over an hour. Hertz, Thrifty, Dollar- they do not care about their customers.

Absolutely the worst rental experience I've ever had. They forced me to upgrade as they didn't have my reservation in stock. They also tried to sneak in prepaid fuel without me knowing. I would have never known if i hadnt looked through the rental agreement properly. Then, when returning the vehicle, they charged me for over 2 gallons of gas even though I filled up beside the airport rental return. The bill says the tank was returned at "86%". Pic below proves its completely full. Complete BS. There just trying to scam people out of every penny they can. now, its an absolute headache tryign to dispute the charge because you get the runaround from automated phone operators to a broken website. I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN!

Thrifty refused a valid drivers license because it has a slight bend in it and had to transfer reservation to my wife (luckily she was with me) . Verified with 3 law enforcement agencies that is was in fact valid and even my own states MVD while using the rental. They gave me the vehicle not full on fuel and with trash underneath the seats.
