U.S. Ambulette Introduce
For many New Yorkers, particularly those in the diverse borough of Brooklyn, navigating the city presents unique challenges. This is especially true for individuals with mobility limitations, those using wheelchairs, or patients requiring non-emergency medical transport to and from appointments, treatments, or healthcare facilities. Standard car rental services simply don't offer the specialized care and equipped vehicles necessary for these crucial journeys. Instead, services like U.S. Ambulette aim to fill this essential gap, providing a dedicated solution for those needing specialized transportation.
This article is designed to provide an overview of U.S. Ambulette, located at 945 E 108th St, Brooklyn, NY. We will delve into its specific services, focusing on its role in providing non-emergency medical transportation for New Yorkers with particular mobility needs. Our goal is to present factual information about the type of service offered, from the perspective of a local user, to help you understand what this type of business provides to the community. Please note, however, that while we aim for a factual and informative tone, publicly available reviews for this specific business indicate significant concerns about customer service and reliability, which will be addressed transparently where appropriate.
It is critically important that potential users directly contact U.S. Ambulette for the most current and accurate information regarding their services, booking procedures, availability, and specific patient requirements. Given the nature of medical transportation, verifying details beforehand is highly recommended.
U.S. Ambulette is located at 945 E 108th St, Brooklyn, NY 11236, USA. This address places the service in a residential part of Brooklyn, specifically within the Canarsie/East Flatbush area. For residents of these neighborhoods and surrounding parts of Brooklyn, the location offers a local point of contact for arranging specialized transportation services.
While this is a specific physical address, for an ambulette service, the primary interaction is often via phone for scheduling pick-ups from a client's home, medical facility, or other designated location. However, for administrative purposes or inquiries, knowing the physical address can be helpful. East 108th Street is a local street in Brooklyn. Connectivity to major Brooklyn thoroughfares like Flatbush Avenue, Rockaway Parkway, and Linden Boulevard is generally via local streets. These larger roads can then connect to major highways like the Belt Parkway, which facilitates travel across Brooklyn, to Queens, and other parts of Long Island.
Public transportation in this part of Brooklyn involves MTA bus lines that serve the local streets, connecting residents to subway stations further west or north. Depending on the specific starting point, clients or their caregivers might use a combination of bus and subway to reach a different destination, but the ambulette service itself is designed to pick up individuals directly from their location. The local nature of the address suggests a focus on serving the immediate Brooklyn community.
U.S. Ambulette, as its name suggests, primarily offers non-emergency medical transportation services. Unlike ambulances, ambulettes are not equipped for emergency medical care but are specifically designed to transport individuals who have mobility challenges and require assistance getting to non-urgent medical appointments or other destinations. Based on the typical services provided by ambulette companies, U.S. Ambulette would generally offer:
- Wheelchair Transportation: This is a core service, providing vehicles specially equipped with ramps or hydraulic lifts to safely accommodate individuals using wheelchairs, ensuring secure boarding and alighting.
- Non-Emergency Medical Transport (NEMT): Facilitating rides for patients to and from various scheduled medical appointments, including doctor's visits, dialysis centers, physical therapy sessions, rehabilitation facilities, and other non-urgent healthcare services.
- Stretcher Transportation: For individuals who need to remain lying down during transit due to their medical condition, some ambulette services provide vehicles capable of accommodating stretchers, ensuring comfort and stability.
- Door-to-Door Assistance: Ambulette services typically include assistance from trained personnel who help patients from their point of origin into the vehicle and then from the vehicle directly into their destination, offering a higher level of care than standard taxi or ride-share services.
- Transfers Between Facilities: Transporting patients safely between hospitals, nursing homes, adult day care centers, or other healthcare facilities for ongoing care or discharge.
- Scheduled Appointments: The service is primarily for pre-scheduled appointments, allowing for efficient routing and timely arrivals at medical facilities.
It is important to note the significant concerns raised in customer reviews regarding the actual delivery of these services. Reviews indicate issues with drivers' professionalism, communication barriers, lack of empathy, and unreliability, including missed appointments and unanswered calls. These directly contradict the expected standards for a service critical to vulnerable individuals.
Based on the standard offerings of an ambulette service and the provided information, the intended features and highlights of U.S. Ambulette would ideally include:
- Specialized Vehicles: Ambulettes are equipped with features such as wheelchair ramps or lifts, and securement systems to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers with mobility challenges.
- Assistance for Mobility-Impaired Individuals: The service is designed for those who cannot use traditional transportation due to their physical condition, providing necessary support for boarding, travel, and alighting.
- Non-Emergency Focus: Catering specifically to scheduled medical appointments, allowing individuals to access healthcare without the need for emergency services.
- Local Brooklyn Presence: Being based in Brooklyn provides a convenient and accessible option for residents within the borough for their non-emergency medical transportation needs.
However, it is crucial to address the features that, according to customer reviews, appear to be lacking or problematic:
- Professionalism and Empathy: Reviews strongly indicate a lack of "decorum," "empathy," "compassion," and "professionalism" among drivers and receptionists.
- Communication: Complaints about drivers not speaking "proper English" and receptionists making situations worse point to significant communication barriers.
- Reliability: Multiple reviews mention "no services," "nobody answers the phone," and drivers failing to "show up or call," leading to missed appointments.
- Accountability: Concerns about being unable to "speak to a higher up" or a "BOSS" suggest a lack of accessible management for addressing serious issues.
These are critical aspects of a medical transportation service, and the negative feedback suggests that these intended features are not consistently met in practice for this specific company.
For direct inquiries, to schedule service, or to discuss transportation needs, you can reach U.S. Ambulette using the following contact information. Given the nature of the service, direct phone communication is typically the primary method for scheduling and inquiries.

As per customer feedback, there may be challenges with reaching the company and receiving timely responses via these contact methods, particularly concerning unfulfilled appointments or attempts to escalate complaints.
For New Yorkers, particularly those in Brooklyn with mobility challenges who require non-emergency medical transportation, the *concept* of an ambulette service like U.S. Ambulette is inherently suitable. Such services are designed to bridge a crucial gap, providing equipped vehicles and assistance for individuals who cannot utilize standard public transport or taxis for their essential medical appointments or other specialized travel needs. The local Brooklyn address suggests an intended focus on serving the community within the borough, which would be a significant convenience for residents.
However, it is imperative to directly address the stark contrast between the intended purpose and the reported customer experience for U.S. Ambulette. While the *need* for specialized transportation is undeniable in a city like New York, the overwhelming negative feedback concerning lack of professionalism, poor communication, and unreliable service, including missed appointments, raises serious concerns about U.S. Ambulette's suitability as a dependable provider for vulnerable individuals. For New Yorkers whose health and well-being depend on timely and compassionate transportation, the experiences shared in customer reviews indicate that this company may not consistently deliver the reliable and professional service that is paramount in non-emergency medical transport. Therefore, while the *type* of service is suitable for locals, potential users should proceed with extreme caution and carefully consider alternative providers based on reported experiences.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The ultimate WORST.. The drivers have no decorum. No kinda empathy, compassion or professionalism whatsoever. They do not speak proper English and maybe it's the communication skills that lack but that does not excuse the nasty demeanor that comes with them. The receptionist are the WORST they make no situation any better. You ask to speak to a higher up it's always a problem or they are not available. Every business has a BOSS. I am a business owner and someone has to always be the overseer of the company at all times in the event that something happens. I am not a patient with this company but if I was the lawsuit I would have filed against this company would have been a lovely one. All of the employees need a crash course on professional etiquette because this type of behavior only harms the company's reputation
Feb 28, 2025 · Dee DeeDo not choose this company. No services nobody answers the phone even you have an appointment. On one will show up or call you. I missed my treatment because this stupid company! I would give a negative star if there is a chose.
Feb 21, 2025 · HONGYANG LIUI am not a client of this company, but judging for the massive 1 star reviews, I can tell their services are garbage. You guys seriously need to hire better drivers. I am working in my house watching one of your driver try to park the vehicle behind my car. There are no cars behind because it was a driveway entrance, so there were plenty of space. How can you still hit my car? Seriously. This isn't even parallel parking. A student driver park can park better than you.
May 15, 2022 · Alvin YuI chose not to give them a star but to express my opinion based on what occurred. Go with another company. Don't go with this company or ABBA sane company. On more than one occasion they failed to take me to my treatment. Plus on one occasion I had to not only take alternate transportation to my treatment but to go home from treatment because the driver refused to wait. When I called the company the person I spoke seemed helpful. However, when I called to follow up no help at all. I was very upset and hurt as to no one taking responsibility for their actions. Do not go with US ambulet or ABBA
Jun 01, 2022 · Lisa GroenerThe US ambulette service is the worst. Not on time, not professional and I give them a one star only because I can't give them a negative star. My mom was pick up late for her appointment and then when her appointment was finished it took them over three(3) hours to pick her up from the doctor and bring her back home. I made several calls and the operator was so rude and said she just have to wait and that it's traffic. They knew about her appointment and if they can't pick up a patient at the given time then just be honest and say so. I hope in the future when the wheel turn and the same treatment is given to them they will remember what goes around comes around. Negative star for US ambulette services and the workers.
