What a great experience! We are a family of 6 with 4 children under 10. Our flight was delayed 3 hours and our experience on board was not good. Once we reached the Alamo/Enterprise service desk our terrible day got turned around. Angelo presented us with amazing welcoming energy! We felt like our vacation could really get started. While I went inside to check in with Angel, who also provided phenomenal customer service service, Angelo got my family situated in the car. He helped with the luggage and car seats so by the time I got outside we pulled away without any issues. Thank you to Angelo, Angel, and Alamo for taking care of my family!

This rental car experience was absolutely terrible! The car we got was FILLED with cockroaches! We’re going to Orlando tomorrow, and they were unable to accommodate us with an SUV to seat 5 adults and luggage. Completely unacceptable! And after that, they can’t even take me home. I’m very upset over all of this. I do NOT recommend renting a car from here. I want a refund!

I recently rented a car from Alamo Rent a Car and this is the story of my less than desirable experience.First of All, DO NOT RENT FROM ALAMO RENT A CAR! EVER. This should be a negative 5 star review but 1 star is the lowest rating possible.My experience started once I arrived at the Alamo car lot and went to find the vehicle in the class that I had reserved. The vehicle class that I had reserved several weeks in advance was not available and there were no “Or Similar” vehicles available on the lot. I’m not sure what the purpose is of taking reservations if no effort is made by the rental agency, ALAMO, to hold or ensure the vehicle class that was reserved is available.Since I needed a vehicle and no upgrade was offered, I was forced to accept a lower vehicle class than what was reserved. This was immediately a problem due to the size of the vehicle, passengers and luggage that I was expecting to take on my trip. I would have expected that they would reduce my rate to the lower vehicle price but they did not offer to reduce the quoted rate either.My trip began in South Florida and after sunset I discovered the car that was provided had headlamp problems and was unsafe to drive after dark. I contacted Alamo customer service and they instructed me to go to the nearest airport to exchange the car for a vehicle that meets the safety and legal requirements for operation on the public roadways.I was majorly inconvenienced by this and had to make a 150-mile trip to Orlando, which was closer to me than Palm Beach at the time I noticed the problem, in the dark with no headlamps. Once I arrived at the Orlando Alamo location I was pleasantly surprised to find that there were vehicles in the vehicle class that I had originally reserved available at this location. I proceeded to check in with my defective vehicle and request a vehicle replacement in the class that I have originally reserved.At this time, I was given some song and dance by the attendant and was told that I could not have any vehicle within the class of vehicles that I have reserved because they would not be returned to the same location and they could not release the vehicle to be returned in Palm Beach. At this point I have a defective and unsafe vehicle and I need a replacement. The vehicle selection they provided to me was less than desirable and once again I had to take a vehicle from a lower class than I had reserved, expected, and needed for my trip.From this point forward every minute spent in this vehicle was unpleasant, cramped, crowded and all around uncomfortable. Alamo had every opportunity to make this situation right but would not do it, even when the situation presented itself, they did not do the right thing to make this right.To add insult to injury when I returned the car, they would not reduce the original rate of the higher-class vehicle but only offered to reduce the bill by $100 for a 10-day rental, which does not even cover the cost difference between the vehicle class paid for and the vehicle provided and was a Slap in the Face considering the inconvenience and danger that I was put through by Alamo Rent a Car.I rent cars many times throughout the year and based on this experience and I am not likely to ever rent from Alamo again, and I suggest you do the same.Update. They have replied to this post and asked that I place a complaint on their site. I previously did that, they opened a ticket for it and nothing happened, and nobody contacted me. Now they want me to do it again.Can you say " The Definition of Insanity".

If I could’ve given negative stars, I would’ve. Prior to booking with Alamo, I called MULTIPLE times to make sure that flying into PBI on a late flight (getting in at 12:59am), wouldn’t be a problem because they technically close at midnight. They assured me EVERY TIME that a representative would be there up to 2 hours after closing and someone will be tracking my flight in case of delays. I asked about making sure a shuttle will also be available to transport to the rental area; again, they said yes. Upon arrival, 1:15am, there were no shuttles. We called the 800 number and they said yes, the shuttle is running every 10-15 minutes. Another rental company (Budget) was there and even went inside of the baggage claim area to make sure no man was left behind. We were told Alamo left a while ago and no one will be there. We called the local number which was plastered on the pillar and it didn’t work. We called the 800 number for the 3rd time and told the lady that we were stranded at the airport with 2 little kids and my sister with a physical disability, despite what we were told and she said well they open back up at 5am. We had to Uber 1/2 hour away which was $100 and then in the morning when we called the 800 number again and they said they would leave a message with the local branch for a manager to call back. Meanwhile we missed appointments with our aunt who has dementia and it took away precious time that we could’ve been spending with our aunt. The manager never called us and we had to uber again over to the airport (another $100!). We were upset when we got there and they said they received messages or the notes that were supposedly left by the person on the 800 number. The manager said there was nothing that he could do for us, do you want the car or not. We said we would NEVER give our money or business to Alamo, Enterprise, etc again and walked half a block down to Budget where not only did they apologize for the inconvenience that we went through and not only matched our price but lowered the price. We will now be forever Budget renters. Please save yourself time, energy and stress and NEVER rent from them.**UPDATE: got an email from someone a week ago asking for my contact information and when to call. I gave my contact information and said I can be reached at anytime and still no calls or follow ups. I emailed 2 more times and STILL NO RESOLVE or answer. This is a week with no contact from them. WORST COMPANY EVER. DON’T EVER RENT FROM THEM!!!

Easy rental experience, I booked thru Priceline & then had to modify my reservation 3 times, each time Alamo reps were great!! Helpful, professional & understanding. The quick response & at the end Jessica the branch manager at PBI airport was the most helpful of all.
