Denzel was negative and argued back and forth with a customer. The vehicle that we were provided was completely busted with missing part on the outside and inside. This van should not be in rotation(pictures posted)but because we were not able to get another vehicle we had to keep this vehicle at this location. I will not be returning to this location. I would hope that they would provide some type of customer service training because it is needed.
Jul 06, 2025 · K_MoremanInitially i thought it was just a location issue BUT after my experience at the Conyers location on Dogwood I am certain its a problem with the Avis culture and there understanding of service that they are providing. I was given a car that was infested with ants. I didn’t notice this until I pulled into my driveway after picking the vehicle up. I had a trail of ants on me. After contacting Avis I was told that they only had an upgraded vehicle that I could not be swapped out for. They offered to “bomb” the car but i have little kids that after already running late due to the ant situation I had health concerns about getting back in the vehicle so soon after it being “bombed for insects”. The culture at Avis seems to be that the customer is always wrong regardless of the inconvenience that THEY cause you to have. This has been the worst experience to date with Avis. Again i thought it was only one location that had HORRIBLE service in Stockbridge BUT now after this Conyers location I can truly see that it’s the culture of the company that is most likely the cause of this. They will rent you cars and have you pre pay and not have the vehicles available. (They will blame this on the fact that different systems are used across the company which seems like a easy fix to do with so many known complaints about this but no. They continue to look at this as something that customer can eat and deal with. They give you unsanititized vehicles to rent, and i stayed onsite for and 1hr during initial pickup waiting for the cleaning to be completed and STILL received a vehicle that had ants everywhere. Absolutely HORRIBLE experience. Please stay away from this business. AVIS is absolutely horrible. My rental agreement number was 419140971 as proof of my rental.

I had never seen a car rental counter agent move SO FAST and still took close to 2 hours to finalize my reservation that I initially booked online. On August 6, 2024, my online reservation was completed and the pickup time for the car was 12 noon. We arrived at Avis at 11:40 AM and there were approximately 3 customers ahead us. We waited patiently until it was our turn. As we approached the counter, Craig was still working with an Uber driver. He asked, "How can I help you?" We gave Craig the reservation number and he proceeded to retrieve our reservation.Shortly afterwards, several more customers entered the center. When Craig retrieved our reservation, he confirmed the information, and we gave him our credit card and driver's license. He entered the information into the system and requested that we insert the credit card for payment. It took over 2 minutes for the payment to be denied. I asked Craig what happened? He stated that the internet was moving slow. So, we tried inserting the cc again. It was denied again. I asked Craig how many times had he charged the card. He stated, "I didn't charge it!" Then, Craig moved to the next computer and began assisting another customer without excusing himself. Appalled at his poor mannerism, we called the bank and the bank rep informed us that Craig ran the card for multiple payments and they all were denied due to possible fraud. Craig lied. After getting the approval from the bank, we asked Craig to run the card again.It was denied. This process went on for close to 2 hours. Finally, with the bank rep on phone, Craig finally processed the payment. Extremely frustrated, and drained, we signed the rental car agreement, and vehicle inspection form without noticing that Craig had marked off the damages that was on the car.Craig stated that the car was dirty and we would get a cleaning fee if we returned the car clean. We inspected the car and there were scratches and dents on the exterior and the interior had not been cleaned as evident by the stains on the passenger door and the dirt/hair in the carpets.Yet, we took the car as is in order to make our 2 pm appointment. Prior to returning the car, I reviewed the contract and noticed that the vehicle inspection was enclosed in the contract. I thoroughly reviewed both and realized that Craig had completed the vehicle inspection form and he cancelled and reissued my reservation without my knowledge as evident by the MISSPELLING OF MY FIRST NAME. I called customer support on August 15, 2024 to express my dissatisfaction with Craig's poor customer service and his fraudulent activity. On the day of return, after taking pictures of the odometer and fuel, I went to the counter and requested my receipt. Tish checked in the vehicle and ask me the mileage of the vehicle. I told her to come outside and inspect the vehicle to ensure correct information. Rather getting up off her LAZY AZZ and verifying the fuel, mileage, the vehicle's status, she chose to type incorrect mileage and fuel reading, so they could charge my credit card. I did contact the customer support center regarding the poor customer service and fraudulent activity. I AM EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM BOTH TISH AND CRAIG. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION FOR YOUR RENTAL CAR NEEDS.UPDATE: The corporate office did respond to my above compliant and refunded some of my money.
Mar 30, 2025 · Da' Boss Lady Trucker, MSHorrible. I reserved a vehicle for my friend and I had to take off from work in order to drive her 25 minutes to pick the car up. When I arrived the employee at the counter said there were no vehicles available! I asked how could I reserve a vehicle if there were none? He told me “they” did not bring any vehicles back from the airport and that I could go rent one from Enterprise! I called customer service and was told that they showed vehicles in their system and did not understand. After a back and forth I was offered a cancellation and refund which would take 3 to 5 business days. I will never rent from Avis again and will most definitely take their suggestion and go to their competitor.
