Rented from them on 05/20/2025, was shocked to find only $75/day and $10/day for insurance. Once I got in the vehicle it was FILTHY, covered in dirt. Needed the rental so whatever, no big deal. Returned 05/27/2025 and was charged $743.82 because an additional day was charged due to me returning it late (5:30pm), again - no big deal. I was then charged a $477 cleaning fee for what was an already filthy car when I picked it up. When calling, the manager Sam told me it's not their problem. I've called Avis corporate and waiting for correspondence on my claim. I've had to dispute with my credit card company as well as filed a BBB complaint to hopefully get my refund on this false charge. Seems this is a common occurrence judging by reviews. The owner Khalil seems to be a scam artist and I don't think this business should be operating any longer.

This is the worst experience I have ever had with a car rental, and I have had many. I rented this car from Jackson, MI as a long time rental, as my car was in the shop. The customer service people there were friendly, efficient and helpful. I went to return my car in Brighton, closer to where my car was. The gentleman was not only rude and unprofessional, he was cruel. I left in tears. He told me my rental car was "nasty and disgusting." I was in shock, as there was no trash in the car. He told me he was charging me a $500 fee or he would not accept the car. (My card was on file). He then told me there was a sticker on the window saying there was a $500 cleaning fee. The window sticker was for "smoking in the car", which didn't happen. Im not a smoker. He then accused me of being a nasty, filthy person. Smiled and told me to have a nice day multiple times. He did not give me his name but he did smile for the camera. I had to get back to work so now Im responsible for another day rental. I will not go back there. I suspect this is his scam. I also think he thought he could speak to me so poorly because I am a woman. This was an absolute horrible encounter. I strongly caution against going to this location. I will be filing formal complaints with Avis and BBB.

This is probably the worst car rental place I have ever used. They are never on time to open, they rent out dirty cars (we once found a small joint in the backseat,) cars with bald tires and cars with check engine lights on them, we even had to replace the battery in the key fob once. If you bring up the problems before leaving the lot, you will be told that that is the only car available to rent. All the others are spoken for. Take it or leave it before leaving on vacation or other important event that warranted you needing a rental in the first place. We have used them several times because of the convenience of location, but those days have ended. The staff does not care about you or your quality of service here. Consider this your loudest of warnings, do not rent from this location, you WILL be disappointed or worse.

Not sure where to start. Let's just say the people that I dealt with at the location were absolutely fine... About the card that I picked up smelts so bad of chemicals that I got a headache 5 minutes into driving it and it lasted for 2 days of my trip... There is absolutely no reason why a vehicle should smell this bad with cleaning solution that lasts for over 48 hours. The other part was is I had to put windshield wiper fluid in it because it had none and it was snowing and slushie on the roads so I actually had to stop and get my own. Will probably never rent from this place again. And I'm not one of those super sensitive people back to chemicals or smells. That's how bad this was, it's like somebody spilled a half a bottle of fabuloso on the carpet

This place will steal your money! Check your receipt! They charged us a 149.88 for gas but on the receipt is say gas out 15.0 gas in 15.5??? DO NOT RENT FROM THE BRIGHTON location! We retured with a full tank!!!!! Sending this to the attorney general as this is fraud!
