The main problem is that for 30 days Avis/Budget played games with me via email and phone calls about making my reservation right. In 30 days Avis was not able to offer me a car at any location, or any form of compensation, or any ideas on how to help me. They ignored the problem for a month and left me severely inconvenienced. Based on the email responses, I highly doubt they read my concerns. I do believe the emails were just stock apologies, which is offensive after spending over a thousand dollars on a rental. After finally getting a hold of someone, Avis offered 60 dollars compensation. After a 30 days of being jerked around and ignored,the best they could offer is 60 dollars. Its not about the rental, its how this company will try to solve an issue they created; its about the lack of care for the customer.

Return time on the vehicle was 2pm. With traffic delays from torrential down pour. I arrived 2:02. They close at 2. Doors locked. Absolutely no leeway. The time it took for me to grab my umbrella and walk across the parking lot they employees were gone. I'd bet anything due to heavy rain they closed up shop early. Had to call customer service to figure out what to do with the vehicle. After being lectured about what I would do if I had a job interview at 2pm, i'm going to be charged for an extra day! 120 seconds late, the car is in their parking lot! I show up first thing next morning and the woman behind the desk is absolutely miserable to be working. No help to the situation. Apparently their "computer systems shut off at 2pm" so there is nothing they would have been able to do. I don't understand how you schedule a car return for the exact moment you close ( or when the computers are no longer operational). I rent cars for business travel frequently. Discovered this location as it's right down the street from me. Unfortunately there is no way Avis is getting my business. I'll update the review if they can rectify this.

The attendant also wrote incorrect miles on my contract. The contract said starting miles was 19700 when it was actually 21606. When I mentioned this, the options were "take it or leave it"

I suggest you ask for a different vehicle than the Kia, my wife was okay with it but I was not!
