Should have known this was going to be a bad series of events when our first communication was Holly calling to tell me to not be late… they have scheduled pick up times and the last one was at 3:30, but don’t be late bc we close at 4.Second was Holly telling me that I needed to fill out an insurance form and if I couldn’t do it on line then I could fill it out there. No worries, right. Simple enough… so we thought. I’d already discussed with my insurance if it would be covered and the answer was clearly yes. Do you still have to fill out the form, why of course you do. They ask you all kinds of questions like how many tonnage does your vehicle insurance cover and how many axles does it cover. Well, it’s a cargo van with 2 just like the cars I have ensured on my policy. Tonnage? It’s a cargo van and shouldn’t be drastically different than a traveling van. They still required the form to be filled out. What a load of crap. My time zone is 2 hours difference and my insurance was closed (no chat person could help or customer service). So I paid for their insurance coverage, $200.Third “issue”: in order to close on time they did a walkabout with my daughter and handed her the key fob. We get home and continue to prepare for the movers.Issue number four: The next morning the van gets loaded and we make a stop at the local Walgreens where we discover none of the locks will engage and there is no key in the key fob to lock it manually and guess what. The rental place is closed. The following morning we call and they said it didn’t come with a key… “do what”!!!!!! They rephrased and said they received it without one so there wasn’t one to provide and they didn’t have an exchange vehicle. So too bad so sad. It’s your problem now. Call roadside assistance.Shall we discuss issue four: you have to be approved for a swap out. A couple of hours later got the approval but the nearest available cargo van was in a town over an hour away. But they will send mov(ers) to transfer items.Let’s talk about lucky number five, oh wait… it wasn’t lucky either. The movers consist of 1 wrecker employee. That’s right one. AND the cargo van is not even the same size. Oh I failed to mention that I contacted my insurance again and was still told I was good to go on the first one but chalked it up to lesson learned. But now I paid for insurance I surely don’t need due to size.Number six: since we are driving two states away I lose my non-refundable pay in advance hotel room for the night. We are now delayed more than a day.Seven: I call the friendly, rental people again (not) and ask what happens now. I paid for 5 days and due to your incompetence we are down a day. They said “no worries” when you get to your destination have them call us. 😑 *don’t forget this bc I’m going to mention this again at the end of my review*We reach our destination and it was raining… we were partially relieved bc we were exhausted. I call and pay for another day. Everything is now smooth sailing. Cross fingers. One rain day turned into two. I called and paid for another day. The following day just to dot the I’s and cross the T’s. I call Holly again. I’m enroute to drop the rental off… anything I need to do, any unforeseen issues that you may have failed to mention to me.I was reassured, nope nothing… fill the tank.And BOOM! The receiving rental company says you own $205. So, let’s call Holly again bc surely they are mistaken. At this point I would have learned that they don’t play nice. And guess what, you are late turning in the vehicle a day. You mean the day that we waited for a new van and movers, excuse me 1 wrecker drive person. Yep, you’re late…I hung up.Call to customer service to receive a refund for the back date and file a formal complaint. Agent: We’re so very sorry. They, Budget in AZ should have back dated the invoice so that it would have zero’s out!!!!!!!!So don’t take my advice and see for yourself. It’s a shitty place with shitty employees.

This location was awesome. Had a reservation, looked online to change it to a day earlier and the price actually went down! The employees were super helpful and they gave me a really nice GMC Terrain AWD which actually came in really handy for unexpected snow on my trip. Will definitely come back and way cheaper than Enterprise.

This location called me THE DAY BEFORE and told me they had no available trucks for our moving day. No sorries or anything and the girl on the phone was extremely rude. We’ve had this set up for weeks now, and now have to scramble to find something else in one day. I will never recommend budget to anyone.

Great at taking reservations, Bad at holding reservations.I was told less than 48 hours before my move that the truck I reserved was no longer available, and that Budget does not have ANY trucks available for my move date. The team member then recommend I go to a competitor for business. What the heck.
