Welcome, Pennsylvania residents! When it comes to navigating our beautiful state, reliable transportation is key. Whether you're commuting for work, heading to an important appointment, or simply need a vehicle to get around, understanding your local car rental options is invaluable. Today, we're taking a closer look at Community Transit, a transportation service located right here in Eddystone, PA. This article aims to provide a clear, engaging, and informative overview of Community Transit, helping you understand their services and how they might meet your local transportation needs.
Community Transit positions itself as a provider of transportation solutions within our community. While the name might suggest a broad range of services, for the purpose of this article, we'll focus on what locals might consider "car rental" in the broader sense of getting a vehicle or a ride when needed. It's important to differentiate between traditional car rental agencies where you drive the car yourself, and services like Community Transit which often involve assisted transportation. For many in Pennsylvania, particularly those requiring specialized assistance or scheduled rides, services like Community Transit fill a crucial gap.
Community Transit is conveniently located at 2001 Industrial Hwy, Eddystone, PA 19022, USA. This address places them within a accessible area for many residents in and around Eddystone. Being situated on Industrial Highway suggests a location that is generally easy to reach by various means, including local roads and potentially public transit connections depending on your starting point within Pennsylvania. For those relying on scheduled transportation, the physical address serves as their operational base, from which vehicles are dispatched.
Accessibility is a critical factor for any transportation service. For individuals in Pennsylvania seeking a ride, knowing the precise location of the service provider's hub can offer peace of mind regarding their operational reach. While you won't typically visit this location to pick up a car like you would from a traditional rental agency, it's where their operations are managed, and where you can direct any correspondence. Their central location in Eddystone allows them to serve a significant portion of the surrounding Pennsylvania region, making them a local option for many residents.
Community Transit, based on the provided information, appears to offer scheduled transportation services, rather than self-drive car rentals. This distinction is crucial for Pennsylvania residents looking for a ride. Their services are particularly relevant for those who may have specific appointment needs or require assistance with transportation.
- Scheduled Rides for Appointments: Based on customer feedback, Community Transit provides pre-booked transportation for medical appointments, such as doctor's visits or specialized consultations like urology appointments. This service is vital for individuals who cannot drive themselves or access other forms of transport.
- Emergency Assistance Number: They offer an emergency assistance number, which suggests a system in place to handle situations where rides might be fully booked or unexpected transportation needs arise. This is an important feature for users needing reliable and timely service in Pennsylvania.
- Assisted Transit for Patients: There is an indication that their services are utilized by caretakers and individuals with medical conditions, such as MS patients requiring transportation for Foley changes or other critical care. This points towards a more specialized, supportive transportation offering.
- Driver-Assisted Transport: Customer reviews highlight the helpfulness of their drivers, indicating that the service includes a driver rather than just providing a vehicle. This makes it a full-service transportation solution for those in Pennsylvania needing assistance beyond just a car.
Understanding the unique aspects of Community Transit can help Pennsylvania residents decide if it's the right fit for their transportation needs.
- Focus on Scheduled Appointments: A key feature of Community Transit is its apparent focus on pre-scheduled rides, particularly for medical and important appointments. This suggests a structured approach to transportation, aiming to ensure individuals reach their destinations on time.
- Emergency Assistance Availability: The provision of an Emergency Assistance Number is a significant highlight. While the effectiveness may vary based on user experience, the intent to offer a backup or alternative solution for booked rides or urgent needs is a positive aspect for a transportation service in Pennsylvania.
- Support for Individuals with Medical Needs: The direct mention of MS patients and their specific appointment needs indicates a service that potentially caters to individuals requiring more attentive or specialized transport. This can be a crucial feature for caretakers and patients across Pennsylvania.
- Professional Drivers: Feedback specifically commends the drivers for being helpful. This aspect is vital for passenger comfort and reliability, particularly when dealing with vulnerable individuals or those with mobility challenges. A positive driver experience can significantly enhance the overall service quality for Pennsylvania users.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Thursday using the company have a doctors between you today they Told me to wake up at 6:21 and they will be at home. At the time that they told me to get up. Nobody has came to my apartment. I don't know if the transportation drivers are lazy. But they made me late for my Doctor's appointment. And I'm very frustrated and irritated about has came. For about 2 hours now of me sitting outside in the morning in this hot heat.
Aug 05, 2024 · Nikayyah MooreThese people have an Emergency Assistance Number in case of the Rides being booked up and more possibilities of making those important appointments. But from a Care Taker…they don’t think a Urology appointment for an MS patient to have a Foley changed is important and not reason enough without Medicaid to put on a Transit Bus to Media…if that helps. These people are really rude. The Office People. I had 1 successful Transit with them for someone and will say those Driver’s helped. I’m on my way tall Grad from All State Careers. But that Sherry or whatever in charge of Emergency Assistance, no. Like Damon Wayne on My Wife and Kids..Imagine trying to schedule trips for someone with MS that has a Caretaker and he helps his sick wife at Home and can’t leave to get him to an appointment made less than Two weeks from discharge of a Hospital. These lazy bums.
May 20, 2024 · Dorsey HarrisonThey keep ignoring my notations when I schedule a ride online and send a driver to pick me up at the wrong hospital entrance. Because of this, they are consistently hours late and they have to send the driver back. Please tighten up your operation, especially for elderly/disabled clients such as myself.
Dec 13, 2023 · Dale CarterThis service is very consistent at being 2-3 hours late picking up their disabled clients. The time frame in which your ride will arrive depends entirely on whoever you can manage to reach on the phone. The customer service representatives who do answer the phone are typically extremely rude, with no regard or respect for the caller's time. If you choose to go with DELGO, be prepared to wait patiently for hours, because if you go inside for six minutes, you may miss the driver, who won't call you even if you specifically request a call and WILL leave within five minutes of arrival no matter the circumstances. They also will NOT call to inform you that they've marked you as a no-show. Overall, DELGO's communication, customer service, efficiency, and client care are severely lacking.
Oct 05, 2023 · Sophia BelgiornoYesterday was first and last time using Delgo Community Transit. They left me stranded at my son's appointment. He is disabled and has a problem walking long distances. I was told to call when the appointment was over to be picked up. I couldn't get through. When I finally did get through I was told to call back in ten minutes. Called back again and was told no one was in the area to pick me up so I had to sit and wait for a call back. Waited and nobody ever called back or showed up. I had to walk multiple blocks with my disabled three year old and a heavy car seat in 80 degree heat. I Had to catch a bus and two trolleys to get home. I'm still upset and disgusted at the lack of professionalism and caring. Nobody even called and followed up to see if we made it home. THE WORST!
