I was told I’d have to wait another 90 to 120 minutes.However, I was immediately offered an upgraded vehicle—available right away—for an extra $20 per day. This raises serious concerns: if other cars were available, why weren’t they used to honor existing reservations without additional cost?It felt like a classic bait-and-switch tactic or a push to upsell under pressure. Very disappointing experience, and I hope the company reevaluates how it handles reservations and customer service.

I expected the vehicle I booked to be held for me for the duration of my rental period — regardless of when I arrived. Instead, I was left with limited options and the burden of a problem I didn’t create.Poor inventory management and overbooking should never fall on the customer. This experience showed a lack of accountability and customer care. If your company can't honor confirmed reservations, that needs to be made clear before booking. They also allowed us to book the reservation under my husband's name using my credit card, but wouldn't allow us to pick up the vehicle unless they matched. They wouldn't allow us to change credit cards to fix the problem. They said we would have to cancel this one - with no refund - and book it over again. I had to be added on as a driver and pay over $100 because of their operating error. Would not recommend.
Jul 15, 2025 · Chelseymy original reservation was scheduled for 6pm. due to a delay on my flight we arrived there at 8pm. when i got there there was a customer service rep named Bobby. he tried pretty aggressively to sell us the insurance plan and the fuel. after i told him numerous times that we were not interested and were planning on using our own insurance, he rolled his eyes and had an attitude. He then proceeded to tell me and my wife that there were no compact cars available and that if we were interested we would need to wait at least 1 hour. he then offered to upgrade us for at least $60 extra per day. i explained to him that the rate was more than double of what we paid and that. it seemed unfair that we would need to wait for so long and that i would think that we should be upgraded for free. he disagreed and said we needed to wait. he then told me in the future if i wanted to avoid being in that situation i should reserve at, at least 2-3 rental car places to see who actually had the vehicle. i explained to him that i travel on a monthly basis and had never ran into that situation. he said he is able to legally tell me to wait 8 hours and that i needed to wait for find another car rental place.me and my wife waited and watched as everyone else was being helped. we probably saw about 30-40 customers pass by and noticed no one was being told to wait only us. i went up to the counter and talked to the customer services rep that was next to Bobby since bobby was busy. the other rep was extremely professional and courteous. he said he needed to ask bobby if maybe they can upgrade us, since we were already there for an hour waiting. Bobby lauhged and looked at me with an attitude and told the rep to tell us to wait and to help other customers. i asked the other rep if he can please call a supervisor. he said yes, but that it would take a few minutes because they support multiple companies. i told him that was ok, he called and we waited. about 10 minutes later Bobby told us the car was ready. i asked him for his name and explained to him that i was really unhappy with the experience because i find it hard to believe that everyone after us the 40+ customers were all SUV vehicles and larger. he gave me a really mean stare and told me i find everything hard to believe, the whole experience was super confrontational. as i proceeded to the vehicle i noticed we were given a small SUV, i also noticed that there were compact cars in the lot. we just wanted to get out there. i hope someone can have a talk with this extremely unprofessional customer service rep. please reach out to me if you need more details.
