Easirent Car Rental Austin-Bergstrom Airport (AUS) Introduce
For Texans in and around the vibrant city of Austin, access to a rental car often means the freedom to explore, conduct business, or simply maintain daily routines when personal transportation isn't available. When considering car rental options, especially near a major hub like Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS), it's vital to have clear and factual information to make the best choice. This article aims to provide a comprehensive and unbiased overview of Easirent Car Rental Austin-Bergstrom Airport (AUS), located at 115 Industrial Blvd, Austin, TX 78745, USA, helping local users understand its operations, services, and the experiences of previous customers.
Easirent is a car rental company that operates in several locations across the US and aims to offer competitive rates. While their name suggests a direct airport presence, it's crucial for customers to understand that this particular Easirent location is not inside the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport terminal. Instead, it operates as an off-airport rental facility, which means customers will typically need to utilize a shuttle service to reach their office from the airport, or arrange their own transportation if coming from a different local point. This distinction is significant for managing expectations and travel timelines, especially for those arriving by air.
The decision to rent a car often comes down to balancing cost with convenience and reliability. Easirent positions itself as a low-cost option. However, as with any rental company, understanding the full picture, including customer experiences, is key to a satisfactory outcome. For Texans, whether you're traveling for leisure, business, or require a temporary vehicle due to unforeseen circumstances, having a clear understanding of your chosen rental provider's logistical and service standards is paramount.
The Easirent Car Rental Austin-Bergstrom Airport (AUS) is located at 115 Industrial Blvd, Austin, TX 78745, USA. As the address suggests and customer reviews explicitly state, this location is NOT directly at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. It is an off-airport facility, situated approximately 6.1 miles from the airport terminal.
Accessibility to this location from the airport requires utilizing their shuttle service. Customers are instructed to call the rental company upon arrival at the airport's rent-a-car center (specifically, the "Off Airport pick up" zone) for shuttle bus instructions. Reviews indicate that this shuttle service might not be as frequent as some major rental companies, with one customer noting a single shuttle run and advising to "add at least 40 minutes to your timeline on either end." This is a critical piece of information for Texans on tight schedules. For those arriving from other parts of Austin, the location on Industrial Blvd is accessible via local roads, with connections to major thoroughfares like US-71 and I-35. The typical operating hours for the branch are Monday-Sunday from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. It is always advisable to confirm these hours directly with the branch, especially when planning late-night or early-morning returns.
Easirent Car Rental generally offers a range of services common to car rental companies, with a focus on competitive pricing. Their offerings at the Austin-Bergstrom Airport (AUS) location typically include:
- Diverse Vehicle Fleet: Easirent advertises a variety of "brand-new vehicles" including saloons (sedans), compacts (e.g., Toyota Yaris, Nissan Sentra), SUVs (e.g., Buick Encore, Nissan Rogue, Mitsubishi Outlander), and even electric cars (EVs). However, customer reviews indicate that the specific vehicle reserved may not always be available, and customers might receive a different type of car (e.g., a sedan instead of an SUV, or a Hyundai Kona instead of a Buick SUV).
- Flexible Rental Periods: Options for daily, weekly, and monthly rentals are available, catering to various short-term and extended transportation needs.
- One-Way Rentals: Easirent offers convenient one-way rentals, allowing customers to pick up a car in Austin and drop it off at another Easirent location, useful for cross-state travel.
- Shuttle Service: As an off-airport location, Easirent provides a complimentary shuttle bus service from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport to their rental office. Customers must call the branch for pick-up instructions.
- Optional Extras: Customers can typically add items like GPS rental, infant car seats, child car seats, and child booster seats for an additional daily fee.
- Fuel Policy: The standard fuel policy is generally "Full to Full," meaning customers receive the car with a full tank and are expected to return it full, or incur a refueling fee.
- Payment Options: Accepted payment methods usually include major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard). A deposit, which can range from approximately $300 to $5000 depending on the car type, is typically required and pre-authorized on a credit card.
Based on customer reviews, the Easirent Car Rental Austin-Bergstrom Airport (AUS) location presents a mixed bag of features and highlights that prospective renters should be aware of:
- Competitive Pricing: Several reviews, including one that stated "Car was cheap," suggest that Easirent often offers lower rental rates compared to more established competitors. This can be a significant draw for budget-conscious Texans.
- Vehicle Discrepancies: A recurring issue noted by customers is receiving a different vehicle type than reserved (e.g., sedan instead of SUV), and vehicles not always being in the described condition.
- Cleanliness Issues: More than one review explicitly mentioned vehicles being "very dirty" on the inside. This is a crucial point for customer satisfaction and comfort.
- Vehicle Maintenance Concerns: A particularly severe review highlighted significant safety concerns, including a "badly broken windshield," a car "shaking violently on the freeway" due to a "completely falling apart" tire, and another tire that was "bald with a slow leak" and required constant refilling. This customer explicitly stated, "They failed to inspect and perform maintenance on the vehicle so bad... If you VALUE YOUR LIFE do not rent from them." This is a critical safety red flag that potential renters must consider.
- Off-Airport Location & Shuttle Delays: The fact that the location "IS NOT at the Austin Airport" and requires a shuttle that can add "at least 40 minutes" to the timeline is a frequent pain point, leading to inconvenience for travelers.
- Customer Service Response to Issues: In the case of the severe tire issue, the customer reported that the office said it was "UP TO ME to get the issue fixed," indicating a lack of proactive support in critical safety situations. This contrasts sharply with standard expectations for rental companies.
- Fuel Policy Application: Even with a car received with only "half a tank of gas," the customer still had to "turn it in filled up though, or pay an extra fee," highlighting strict adherence to policy despite initial discrepancies.

In conclusion, for Texans considering Easirent Car Rental at 115 Industrial Blvd near Austin-Bergstrom Airport, it is crucial to proceed with a clear understanding of both its potential advantages and significant reported drawbacks. While the company may offer "cheap" rates, as indicated by one review, the recurring concerns about vehicle cleanliness, condition, discrepancies between reserved and received vehicles, and critically, severe safety-related maintenance issues, present a substantial risk. The off-airport location and potentially infrequent shuttle service also add a layer of inconvenience that budget-conscious travelers must factor into their travel plans and overall timeline.
The feedback suggests that while Easirent might be a low-cost option, it appears that this comes with potential compromises on vehicle quality, maintenance, and customer support in critical situations. For Texans valuing safety, reliability, and a seamless experience, especially when traveling with family or on a tight schedule, it is strongly advised to carefully weigh these concerns against the tempting lower price point. As one customer aptly put it, "Stick with more reputable companies," especially when your safety and peace of mind are at stake. It is always recommended to thoroughly inspect any rental vehicle before leaving the lot and to confirm all details regarding vehicle type, fuel, and condition with the rental agent to mitigate potential issues.

It was also very dirty. This place IS NOT at the Austin Airport. Jul 17, 2025 · Ben WTHIS WAS THE WORST RENTAL EXPERIENCE OF MY ENTIRE LIFE!!! First of all, we were supposed to have a Buick SUV but that provided us with a small Hyundai Kona instead. The exterior was in awful condition with scratches and dents from the previous drivers. Early on, I noticed the alignment was off but assumed that was the only issue. As we went through our trip, I had to keep refilling the air on the front passenger tire as it would be 18 PSI when it should be in the 40 PSI. Later on, the car was shaking violently on the freeway and I had to pull over. When we looked we saw that the front driver tire was COMPLETELY FALLING APART! They failed to inspect and perform maintenance on the vehicle so bad that one tire disintegrated and the other one was bald with a slow leak. I called the office in Austin and they said it was UP TO ME to get the issue fixed. Thankfully my insurance company sent out someone to change the spare and we had to drive 45 MPH the rest of the trip. When we dropped the car off in Salt Lake City they were shocked at the condition. We went through high mountain roads which could have easily resulted in a fatality. If I could give a negative 5 starts I would! This company is seriously negligent on the inspection and maintenance of their vehicles, if you VALUE YOUR LIFE do not rent from them... see the photos below for evidence.
Jun 29, 2025 · Richard ColemanDO NOT RENT HERE. This company runs a serious scam. I was rented a car on June 18th with a cracked windshield and even though I am not at fault for the crack worsening they refuse to refund me even for the days I have not yet had the car. Wouldn't spend another cent here if my life depended on it, and neither should you.
Jun 20, 2025 · Kyle NebloFirstly, I get there today to collect my rental and it’s no longer available after I called a couple of hours before asking when it will be ready. They told me at 1pm the latest since my time to pick up was 1:30pm. I get there at 2:30pm and they no longer have my vehicle because it’s “out of service.” So now I’m forced to get an upgrade and pay for it when it wasn’t my fault. It should’ve been free. Secondly, I’m now about 2 hours from Odessa. I had a blow out on the front right tire because the vehicle wasn’t checked on properly before being given to me. The alignment is off too. That photo is with the tires straight. The wheel is crooked. Now I have to pay for roadside/tow truck because the worker there failed to mention that when I rejected the liability insurance that it also covered flats, roadside, and glass. He only told me it covers if someone hit me. I called back to ask about the process of driving it back because it’s unsafe to drive the spare tire and they’re now telling me to pay for the tire that blew out, which I will not do. That’s not my responsibility as a paying customer. Just like enterprise or any other rental car, it’s the companies responsibility because it’s their vehicle. When I told him that he said “well we’re not enterprise ma'am.” Yes and you can tell. I work in customer service and they have terrible customer service. I will never recommend this place to anyone.
May 18, 2025 · Amy MendezIf you enjoy chaos, frustration, and a complete lack of customer service, then congratulations—you’ve found your perfect rental company! We showed up expecting the SUV we had reserved for six days. Silly us for thinking "Easirent" meant things would be easy. Turns out, they had exactly one SUV available, featuring a cracked windshield—because who doesn’t love a little extra risk on their road trip? After an hour and a half of waiting, they finally found another SUV for us, but only because someone randomly returned one. A solid business model if I’ve ever seen one! Then came the driver policy circus. Initially, we were told that only the person who reserved the car could drive it—unless, of course, we were willing to pay $14 per day to add another driver. That’s right, their "system" magically couldn’t process a simple driver switch, but it could absolutely accept additional charges! But after enough complaining and escalation, suddenly—like a miracle—they were able to do it for free! Funny how that works. And let’s talk about their manager, who truly embodied the “we don’t care” spirit of this company. When I asked to speak with him, the agent assured me he’d be “right with us.” Fifteen minutes later, I asked again—only to find out the guy had been sitting right there the whole time, silently listening and doing nothing. A true leader in customer service! As for the car itself? Absolute perfection (sarcasm). Filthy interior, oil change light on, tires barely hanging on for dear life, and brakes squeaking like they were crying for help. Nothing like spending six days wondering if your rental will make it through the trip! And to end on a high note, we arrived at 7 AM as instructed to return the car, only to find... drumroll... NO ONE THERE. No employees, no shuttle, just an empty lot. We waited until 7:25 AM before finally getting a ride back to the airport. If our flight to SF hadn’t been delayed, we would’ve missed it entirely.Easirent should really consider a name change—Difficultrent, NightmareRent, or Maybe-You’ll-Get-a-Car-Rent would all be more accurate. If you value your time, money, and sanity, rent from literally anywhere else.
